Lancashire's Big Thank You event is being hosted by Volunteer Lancashire* and Lancashire County Council Volunteer Hub to celebrate the value of volunteering across the county.

Community development
Any individual volunteer who has contributed to making positive changes within their local community for example – tidying up an area, working with a youth group, making a difference to the lives of others etc.
Children & families
Any individual volunteer who supports children and families either on an individual basis e.g. independent visitor, mentoring etc. or as part of a group e.g. healthy eating group, positive parenting group, group within a children centre etc.
Befriending & mentoring
Any individual volunteer who supports an individual on a 1: 1 basis providing emotional and/or practical support
Environment /Conservation
Any individual volunteer who has had made a positive impact to Lancashire's landscape for example dry stone walling, regeneration project, etc.
Support for those who are older or who have disabilities
Any individual volunteer who supports an older person (70+) or an adult with a disability either on a 1:1 basis helping to combat social isolation e.g. supported volunteering, access to learning etc. or through a group activity e.g. social groups, support networks etc.
Supporting Lancashire's Heritage
Any individual volunteer who supports Lancashire's heritage by raising awareness and supporting sustainability to preserve Lancashire's heritage for future generations
Volunteer Life time achievement Award
Any individual volunteer who has made a significant impact through their time and commitment.
We are expecting the nominated volunteer to have completed over 500 hours of volunteering over a minimum of 5 years – this should be made clear on the form
Volunteer Lancashire Volunteer of the Year
This category will be chosen from all entries submitted therefore you do not need to submit a nomination for this category.
