PUPIL BULLETIN Friday 2nd June 2017

Awards Ceremony There are rehearsals on Monday afternoon for those playing at the awards ceremonies. All attendance is essential. The rehearsal schedule is as follows:

Period 5 – string quartet and choir

Period 6 – orchestra

Please register with your teacher before making your way to the hall.

Safety on Haugh Road (opposite the Leisure Centre) - Despite previous instructions being issued, a large number of students continue to walk down the middle of the road after crossing the bridge at Morriston playing fields on their way to the town centre. This is very dangerous, and must stop. Although there is no demarcation between road and pavement on the bridge itself, there are adequate pavements beyond, which must be used to ensure the safety of all pedestrians and road users.

Engagement Team - We’d like to extend an open invitation to all students who would like to find out more about LGBTQ+. If you or a friend require support come along to the conference room every Tuesday at Lunchtime.

Library Today - The library is closed all day today. It will be open as usual on Monday.

Get ahead on Monday and borrow your books for Wednesday’s Bookathon.

Paddington – in the Library on Wednesday next week

The film Paddington will be shown in the library after school and as part of our Big Summer Reading Event on 7 June. Watch the comic misadventures of a polite young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British, who travels to London in search of a home. The film will begin at 3.30pm, is open to all in school and you can bring their own snacks.

Bookathon Lists – names of those participating in Wednesday’s Bookathon will be in Monday’s registration folders. If you have signed up for Wednesday’s Bookathon, make sure you know all the information.

Friday Active Schools activities: Bodysurf Dance: Dance sessions every Friday from 15:30 to 17:00 available to all students for FREE. Sessions are delivered by Ellen - Bodysurf instructor.
