Responsibilities and Tasks:

1-provide solutions to inspection problems at all facilities ,Transfer and implement new advanced inspection technologies facilities which include investigating the solutions to existing and potential inspection challenges, and planning and developing strategies in solving them; developing cost effective applications of new inspection technologies, and supervising the execution and implementation of them.

2- Provide the necessary back-up to the Quality Manager regarding contractual issues relating to Quality both during tender and project execution phase, Plan and allocate Quality functions to individual projects, Draws up a Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan and Project Quality Procedures which guarantee compliance with contractual requirements and ISO Standards. Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Maintain safety mindset and actively engage fabricator in safety-related conversations during observation of construction activities
2.Monitors the skid, Piping and Equipment fabricators and erection team for construction activities from a technical perspective against contract specifications
3.Assists the QA/QC Manager in audits of fabricators compliance with procedures and specifications
4.Ensures that the skid, Piping and Equipment fabricators follow the Care, Maintenance, and Preservation procedures of the project and piping material supplier. Making a monthly audit of the equipment maintenance records to ensure that all procedures are being followed
5. coordinate between the fabrication and Commissioning team to ensure a smooth transition from construction to commissioning of all systems within his area of expertise, Completes in a timely manner all documentation to allow mechanical completion of Project.
6. Performs the following QC functions:
A. Witness key hold points during fabrication/erection /installation phase
B. Review x-rays, piping test packs, installation of materials including pipe, supports, and insulation,
C. Verifies pipe cleanliness after flushing
D. Performs a PID check before and after hydro test to ensure that no piping requirements are missing.
E. Witnesses bolt tensioning of the flanges and verify proper alignment thereof and tightening of all swage locks.
F. Ensures that dissimilar metal pipe are segregated and that proper tools are used on all pipe.

G-installation, erection and inspection of all gas turbine equipments/machinery parts including:

(Foundation anchor plates/Thermal block (including blow off valve & blow off silencer) /air cooled generator/air intake manifold/interconnecting pipes/acoustic enclosure/air intake system/exhaust gas system/system cleaning (flushing)/ e module & enclosure)

H-Monitoring the Installation, erection, welding and inspection of different types of steel structure/platforms/beams/columns/bracing/bridging with inspection points such as leveling, plumpness & torque tightening for the pipe rack of 5 units &Steel structure of electrical building

I- Fabrication, inspection & all QA/QC documents regarding pipes from 3/4" to 18"(CS, ST.ST)

J- close follow up of Construction, erection, inspection activites and maintain peremenant and progressive QA/QC records for various tanks(fuel oil storage tank no 1&2/D.M. water storage tank no 1&2/Raw water tank)
4. Assists the project planner in the analysis of the fabricators schedule to ensure that project is able to meets its schedule commitments. Recommends corrective action if the project is behind schedule.
5. Assists the Quantity surveyors verify progress and assist in claim resolution

6-assure smooth hand over from the erection team to Alstom commissioning team which includes the following:

A-erection walk down for all the turbines parts

B- Coordination with the mechanical erection team to clarify the erection punch list

C-final walk down with Alstom erection lead advisor, top site manger, Alstom lead commissioning engineer and erection team for all parts of gas turbines

D- Immediate coordination with the erection team (mechanical, electrical and civil) for closing the minor open items during the final walk down.

E-clarification of final walk down from Alstom commissioning and erection team for all of open items in the punch list

F-collect all the documents that related gas turbines parts from the electrical quality control.

G-collect all the documents that related gas turbines parts from the civil quality control.
