Information Support Coordinator

Division of Labor Standards/On-Site Consultation Section

Cole County

Salary: $1,194.50 - $1362.00 semi-monthly

Job Duties Include:

·  Enter confidential consultation visit information into the OSHA NCR system.

·  Resolve errors in the NCR computer system.

·  Supervise the data entry of On-Site consultants, review for accuracy, and assist and train consultants in proper data entry procedures.

·  Review requests for employer visits and assign to appropriate consultant.

·  Write database/SQL queries and generate reports for managers, directors, and 7 regional offices.

·  Serve as the customer service representative to internal and external customers for the On-Site program.

·  Installs hardware, software, and relocates equipment.

·  Reviews new software applications prior to full implementation to determine ease of use and identify potential problems.

·  Exercises considerable independence; receives general administrative direction.

·  Works consistently and accurately to complete assigned work.

·  Seeks to assist team members and accept additional assignments willingly.

·  Maintains positive working relationships and conduct duties with courtesy and respect.

·  Accepts and implements feedback with a positive attitude and constructively supports open communication, dedication, and compassion.

·  Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

·  Performs other related work as assigned.

Required Skills:

·  Intermediate knowledge of terminal/personal computer operating systems and software applications.

·  Intermediate knowledge of the operation, care, and adjustment of computer peripheral equipment.

·  Intermediate knowledge of hardware and software installation.

·  Introductory knowledge of agency programs related to information collection, management, and reporting.

·  Introductory knowledge of the general operating principles and capabilities of electronic data processing equipment.

·  Ability to train professional and clerical staff in routine systems use.

·  Ability to communicate effectively.

·  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, technical experts, and other employees.

·  Ability to resolve basic hardware and software problems and make minor adjustments to equipment.

·  Ability to travel statewide or throughout an assigned region on a regular basis.

·  Ability to develop routine simple query programs to retrieve information from agency databases.

Eligibility:

Four or more yearsof office or related clerical experience, includingtwo or more yearsof experience above the entry level with primary responsibility for entering/editing information into,andretrieving information from, a networked application and office automation system; and possession of a high school diploma orproof of high school equivalency.

(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year.)
