Hampshire County Council collects this data about individuals to ensure that they meet the requirement to undertake volunteer work with us, should they be successful in their application.
The legal basis for which we collect this data is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
This information may be shared within the team in which they volunteer to ensure that they meet the selection criteria.
Information will be retained as follows:
  • Individuals working with children or vulnerable adults: 35 years from end of work; and
  • Individuals who are unsuccessful in their application: 1 year from end of the application process.
