FACILITY: Troup County Parks & Recreation Center, 1220 Lafayette Parkway, Lagrange, GA 30241. This is an eight (8) lane, 25 yard pool with non-turbulent lane lines. Omega Timing System with an eight lane display scoreboard will be used and operated by Peachtree Timing. The pool depth at one end is between 7 feet in depth and 4 feet in depth at the other end.
The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4) . The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming & Georgia Swimming
CONCESSIONS: The Rec Center will provide a concession stand with snack, meals, and drinks.
HOSPITALITY: Only Pre-Ordered meals will be provided for coaches and officials.
ELIGIBILITY: This meet is open to all swimmers registered with USA Swimming, Inc.
RULES: Current USA Swimming rules will govern the conduct of this meet, unless otherwise noted herein. Swimmers are responsible for swimming in their assigned heats and lanes.
Dive-over starts may be utilized at the discretion of meet management and officials.
“Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. “
Deck Changes are prohibited. Deck Changing (changing, in whole or in part, into or out of a swimsuit when wearing just one suit in an area other than a permanent or temporary locker room, bathroom, changing room or other space designated for changing purposes).
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms.
Photos and videos may be taken of swimmers during the meet by parents or a professional photographer retained by the host club. All participants agree to be filmed or photographed by photographers designated by the meet host and to allow the meet host the right to use names, pictures, likenesses, and biographical information before, during, or after the period of participation in Georgia Swimming competitions to promote swimming and meets hosted by the meet organizer. If you do not wish to have your child(ren) photographed, you may withdraw your consent by informing the Meet Director before the start of the first day of the meet.
Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coaches' areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and / or spectators are present. Exceptions may be granted with prior written approval by the Vice President of Program Operations.
FORMAT: This is an open meet for USA Swimming registered swimmers. All events will be timed finals.
ENTRIES: Please submit all entries via e-mail to Carol Yin, . Entries should be submitted using Hy-Tek Software and include each swimmer’s first and last name, middle initial, age, seeding time to the 100th of a second and event number of each event entered. Swimmers will be limited to four (4) individual events and two (2) relay events. Mixed Relays must consist of two (2) males and two (2) females. A maximum of two relays per team will be allowed for each relay event. Meet will be limited to the first 225 swimmers so the meet will not exceed 4 hours in length.
Hy-Tek Meet Manager will be used to manage the meet.
LATE ENTRIES: Late entries will be accepted until 30 minutes prior to the meet start time for empty lanes only; no new heats will be created.
ENTRY FEES: $6.00 for each individual event; $6.50 for each relay event. Late entries are double the stated fees. Please make checks payable to: Troup County Sharks (TCS).
ENTRY DEADLINE: All Entries must be received on or before February 27th. Entries received after the above date will be considered “Late Entries” and the appropriate fees will be assessed. Create these reports in HyTek Team Manager. Send the Hytek entry file along with a pdf file of the entries to the email given above. WARM-UP: Georgia Swimming warm-up guidelines will be followed. Each team will be required to furnish a coach to supervise their team’s warm-up period.
WARM-UPS WILL BEGIN AT 7:30 AM.
MEET WILL BEGIN AT 9:00 AM.
The Meet Director has the right to change times or meet format after entries have been submitted.
SPECIAL NOTE: Bull pen will be provided for 10 & under events other than relays. PLEASE NOTE that each team is responsible for organizing relays and sending an adult to the starting blocks with relay teams.
Athletes with disabilities are welcome to participate, and are asked to provide advance notice of desired accommodations to the Meet Director. The athlete (or the athlete’s coach) is also responsible for notifying the session referee of any disability prior to the competition.
SCORING: Scoring will be calculated for individual awards as follows:

AWARDS: Individual – Ribbons will be awarded to the top eight (8) finishers in each event. High Point Trophies will be awarded to top four swimmers in each age/gender group.

Officials must show their Georgia Swimming Officials Certification card upon sign-in and proof of current USAS Membership (card or Deck Pass)
LIABILITY: The Troup Co. Parks & Recreation Commission, the Troup County Sharks, USA Swimming, Inc. and Georgia Swimming Inc., shall be free and harmless from any and all liabilities or claims for damage arising by reason of injury to anyone during the conduct of this meet. Acceptance of this policy is evidenced by entry into this meet.

I have reviewed RULE 302.4 FALSE REGISTRATION and understand that GA Swimming probably will issue a fine of up to $100.00 per event against a member coach or a member club submitting a meet entry which indicates a swimmer is registered with USA swimming when that swimmer or the listed club is not properly registered.
