Grächen Goldcard– Matterhorn inclusive
The card with more benefits for a golden family summer
This summer sees a large challenge ahead of it – with new and innovative products in demand more than ever in a volatile, if not extremely fragile market. In recent years, the Grächen holiday destination has proven successful with exciting offers and attractive events - and this summer is to be no exception, with an even greater plus with the "all-inclusive” card for guests to the region.
With the Goldcard, first introduced in 2014, Grächen pledges a twice-as-golden summer vacation this year – not only thanks to nearly 300 days of sunshine, but additional gold ideas at the cost of just CHF 5 a night. New is the integrated journey by public transport from Grächen to Zermatt and on up to the Gornergrat, as well as the Green Fee for the Matterhorn golf course in Tasch / Randa. The Grächen Goldcard is valid from 20 June until 18 October 2015.
Greatly appreciated
To further enhance summer holidays in Grächen, in line with guest needs, Grächen Tourism successfully launched a nationwide all-inclusive "Grächen Goldcard" package in collaboration with regional tourism partners for the first time in the 2014 summer season. More than 2,300 cards were sold, with cable cars and Jungen-St.Niklaus rail boasting a rise in passenger numbers despite poor weather conditions. Hotels and apartments in Grächen, as well as the Gornergrat transport facility and Brigerbad spa, were greatly pleased with the results the card fruited – hence the partnership continues.
First regional all-inclusive offer
The offer is to be continued for the 2015 summer season, as well as expanded with additional offers. Newly involved are the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn, upper Valais PostBus services and the Matterhorn Golf Course – with the following services included:
Grächen Goldcard – Matterhorn inclusive
- New: 1 trip Grächen - Gornergrat (there and back)
- New: 1 18-hole Green Fee for the Matterhorn golf facility in Randa
- Unlimited number of free trips with the unique fairy-tale cable car
- Unlimited number of free trips with St. Niklaus – Jungen mountain rail
- All Grächen Tourism animating entertainment
- 1 free entrance to the Brigerbad thermal baths (3 hours; without SPA)
The wide range of offers addresses families and three generations, integrating well-thought-out regional experiences. As popular holiday destination, Grächen is already known as a sun-kissed spot with almost 300 days of annual sunshine - and the new Grächen Goldcard tops the bill with the proposal of an even rosier vacation!
The advantages of the new Grächen Goldcard are valid for a week – starting at the time of first-use for adults and the whole family on an overnight stay in Grächen. A tempting offer: with all " Grächen Goldcard" holders enjoying added value for just CHF 5 a night – meaning, having arrived, on-site use of cable cars and passing through turnstiles to get to mountain railways can be done without having to queue. And better still, the unique fairy tale gondola, which leads to the popular SiSu Family Park and entertaining adventure for smallest guests, is included in the offer. The Goldcard also bids a free ride to the Gornergrat, where the Matterhorn seems close enough to touch, as well as a trip to St. Niklaus - Jungen. Here the alpine flower path leads you over a discovery trail of the local flora and fauna – while those wanting to cool down and relax delight in privileged entry to the Brigerbad thermal baths at no cost thanks to the same golden card! And on the Matterhorn golf course in Randa golfers can put their skills to the test amid a breath-taking panorama with the Goldcard.
Family destination with innovative ideas and exciting programme
In recent years Grächen has not only established itself as a holiday destination for families, but also received numerous national and international awards – and the "Grächen Goldcard" offer is valid this summer too. Here we have families in mind, with even more special offers: entertaining offers and the promise of many an animating holiday hour for the summer of 2015.
On guided town tours, guests learn much about the history of Grächen – and with beer tasting, plenty about the different kinds of beer brewed with Grächen water. Highlight of the weekly programme is a visit to Air Zermatt, but the programme also includes wildlife viewing, a visit to the Kneipp facility with invigorating massage at the end of it and plenty more stimulating action.
In addition to the animating programme, this summer the holiday destination bids even more exclusive ideas for guests. For example, children discover the Indian way of life in the wilderness, the whole family can fish in Lake Grächen and subsequently grill their prided catch; enjoy adventurous alpine days; forest adventure with a local ranger or Bucherli cruises. And to top all this, guests profit this coming summer and autumn from a number of interesting all-inclusive packages as well.
