Application Procedures for
Commercial Day-Use Guiding Permit
Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge 2009-2010
Complete the attached application and send to the address below with the following additional items. Must be received by July 25, 2009
A check for $25.00 made payable to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
  1. A copy of the appropriate documentation of insurance coverage (a Certificate of Insurance with adequate Comprehensive General Liability coverage, the minimum limit of liability being $300,000 per occurrence).
  2. Proof of current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification for all guides
  3. Submit the application package by July 25, 2009. Permitees will be notified of selection by August 1. Refuge training will take place at the Okefenokee NWR Administrative Office; dates to be determined by May 2009.
  4. You must pre-register for training dates.
Incomplete applications will be returned without consideration and must be re-submitted by the deadline. Application packages containing false statements and/or fraudulent or misleading information will be denied and the application fee will be forfeited.
