Jumping Rules
Class 3 onwards:
2 Phase Jumping: A competition comprising of two phases run without interruption. The first phase will run at the specified height, once through the timing gates into the second phase (jump off) the fences will stand approximately 7 cm bigger.
Competitors incurring a penalty in the first phase will be halted by the bell after completing the first phase. Competitors will be placed according to their penalties and time in the second phase (jump off) and, if necessary, to their penalties and time in the first phase. Falling off equal’s elimination, riders may notremount in the ring.
Entry Limitations: Horse/Pony and Rider combinations may compete in no more than 3 jumping classes on the day,not including the Fun Class.
Placing: Ponies and horses will be split for placing’s in the jumping ring, riders are asked to declare ‘horse or pony’ when entering.
Practice Ring: The fences in the practice ring must not exceed the current height of the fences in the jumping ring at any time.
This show is affiliated to Equine Sports UK (ESUK) Grassroots Championships taking place at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire on the 2nd– 5th August 2018. The threehighest placed exhibits will qualify in each class.

First Aid:£1.00 per day per member and non-member
No refunds will be given for any Class in any Ring

Club Rules 2018
- The decision of the judges to be accepted in every case as final.
- Only officials and competitors are allowed into the ring.
- Correct dress to be worn in the main ring. Jackets are preferred: alternatively a long-sleeved dark coloured top is acceptable, (no hoodies). Correct footwear (no plimsolls or trainers) and hard hats with harness conforming to current BS rules must be worn at all times when mounted anywhere on the showground. Back protectors are recommended but not compulsory. Dress code may be altered at the discretion of the judges due to weather conditions.
- Riders are not allowed to gallop horses on the showground. Failure to comply will result in exclusion from the meeting.
- Horses and ponies must be walked to and from the collecting rings and around crowded areas on the showground.
- No horse or pony under 4 years old may compete in any jumping class.
- Anyone entering a class non-competitively may not compete in that class again on that day competitively.
- Dogs must be kept on the lead at all times. Please bag and bin their foul.
- Age of rider as at 1 January 2018.
- The club championships will be decided on points for the same rider/pony or horse combination throughout the year. Riders must be members to be eligible for points (from the date of joining). Points are awarded 4, 3, 2, 1.
- A competitor who competes ‘on the lead rein’ in any class may not compete ‘off the lead rein’ in any other class at that show.
- The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to the showground or class to any person or persons without prejudice.
- Objections must be lodged with a Show Secretary, in writing, within 10 minutes of the class finishing together with a deposit of £20.00, refundable if the objection is upheld.
- It shall be a condition of entry that each entrant shall indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising from any accidents whatsoever.
- No claim can be entertained for anything which might happen to competitors, spectators, their property, servants or horses, in connection with, or arising out of this horse show.
- Objectionable or abusive language around collecting rings will not be tolerated and entry to classes may be refused.
- The committee reserves the right to measure any pony if so required. Life height certificates are not accepted.
- In novice classes the Pony/Horse must not to be currently registered with the BS.
- Ponies/horses can compete in classes 2, 3 & 4, not to have won three times anywhere.
- Whips used in any jumping ring must be no longer than 60cm in total length.
- All riders to be aged 3 years and over at 1 January 2018.
- Animal welfare standards must be maintained at all times. Failure to do so will result in you being reported to welfare and removal from the club.
- No BBQ allowed on the field.

HOW TO FIND US
From King’s Lynn via A17:
Take the left turning, signed Walpole St Andrew (Market Lane). Continue along here for approximately 2miles, the Show Ground is on the right hand side.
From Boston/Spalding via A17:
Continue along A17 past Sutton Bridge towards King’s Lynn. Take the right turning signed Walpole St Andrew (Market Lane). Continue along here for approximately 2 miles, the ShowGround is on the right hand side.
From Wisbech via A47:
Take the A47 out of Wisbech towards King’s Lynn.
Follow onto dual carriageway and take first exit off dual carriageway. At top of slip road, turn right, following the road into Walpole Highway. In the village turn left into Mill Road (signed towards Walpole St Peter Church). Continue approximately 1.5 miles along Mill Road. Turn right into Chalk Road (narrow, winding lane but OK for boxes/trailers). Take third turn right – also called Chalk Road and continue to the end. At the end turn left and the showground is directly in front of you.
