The Cap Roig Festival reaches his 16th edition established as the biggest musical event of the year in Costa Brava and as a one reference Festival in our Country. An event that every summer assembles the most relevant artists of the national and international musical scene in Calella de Palafrugell (Girona) on a impressive landscape in front of the sea, between Palafrugell and Mont-ras in the Baix Empordà area.
The natural environment formed by the Castle of Cap Roig and the botanical garden, considered one of the most important of Mediterranean, is the perfect stage to enjoy the music in the summer nights as never imagined before. A unique and unforgettable experience that has as common denominator an eclectic and balance line-up with the most outstanding artists of every musical style.
This new editon of Cap Roig Festival deals, directed by Ediciones Musicales Clippers and sponsored by “La Caixa”, with the challenge to continue promoting a successful summer Festival by making a quality programme concert and encouraging the promotion of his own territory, also from the cultural, social, and economic side.

The prime example of British Pop-Rock with more than one hundred million records sold.
Composer, singer, author and activist – Sting was born in Newcastle (England), before moving to London in 1977 to form The Police with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. Since 1989 Sting has released fourteen solo albums and received ten Grammy Awards, two Brits, a Golden Globe, an Emmy, three Oscar nominations among others. Throughout his enduring career, he has sold 100 million albums from his combined work with The Police and as a solo artist. The Last Ship, his latest releases is inspired by his memories of the shipbuilding community of Wallsend in the North East of England where he was born and raised. A musical play with the same name recently debuted on Broadway, music and lyrics composed by him. Sting has appeared in more than 15 films and authored two books.

Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals toured the globe nonstop for 15 years, earning legions of fans and consolidate as one of the world’s most versatile and hard-working bands. Percussionist Leon Mobley, bassist Juan Nelson, drummer Oliver Charles, keyboardist Jason Yates and Guitarist Michael Ward reunite Ben Harper after 7 years. They remained very close over the years and now have all come full circle. It´s time to pick up where they left off, starting next March at The Fillmore In San Francisco. Harper and the band decamped to a studio in Los Angeles to rehearse and record new music. Their performance in the gardens of Cap Roig will be an experience to remember.

After their appearance in the tv show La Voz Kids, the brothers Jesus and Daniel Oviedo are becoming the biggest fan phenomenon in Spain most important since 15 years ago. Last May the young boys from Sevilla presented their first album "Lo mejor está por venir", leading the charts at #2. After their first album was released, they reached the gold record for selling 20,000 copies in our country in just few months, and later gets the platinum for 40,000 copies sold. Julieta Venegas, is an American-born Mexican singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, who sings pop-rock in Spanish. She plays several instruments including acoustic guitar, accordion, and keyboard. She has won five Latin Grammys and one Grammy Award among others. In later years she positioned herself as one of the most prominent songwriters in Latin pop by achieving fame in 2003 in Latin America and Spain with the album “Sí” positioned at the top of Latin Billboard. In 2006, she released her most successful album “Limón y Sal” which achieved Platinum status in several countries, including the worldwide hit "Me Voy". Her album Otra Cosa was released worldwide on 2010 and Los Momentos in 2013. Son of the italian actress Lucía Bosé and the legendary bull fighter Miguel Dominguín, Miguel Bosé was born in Panama. He grew up in an environment surrounded by art and culture. Honored as the 2013 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year, leader together with Juanes of the movement Peace Without Borders With a 35-year career that includes more than 30 albums, a Latin Grammy and international hits Miguel Bosé has long earned a distinguished name of his own. At the beginning of the last year, Mike Rosenberg knew his life was about to change. If someone had told the Brighton-born singer/songwriter, know as Passenger that he would be in the top of the charts in 20 countries during 2013, he didn’t believe it.“Whispers” is Passenger’s sixth studio album. Its oldest songs date back to before the mayhem began. Although he didn’t know it when he wrote it, the title track captures the chaos in his head when Let Her go started to snowball. Even the songs most recently written have evolved by being played live dozens of times, at shows and o streets everywhere from Amsterdam to Australia.

Mishima is one of the most influential bands of the Barcelona from XXIst century. Although they started singing in English, the quintet leaded by David Carabén has began to use his native language paving the way for new songwriters and consolidating the band as underground indie pioneers of the city. After the great success achieved in the Cap Roig Mini second edition, within consecutives sold outs and an overwhelming success from Super3 the musical and Gerónimo stilton in concert, this year the festival has enlarged the kids’ schedule with new family shows that will continue having as a principal role to enjoy the youngest. Cap Roig Mini will open the doors of the gardens again to parents and kids in evening sessions, in July 25th to live together Sp3 show and in August 9 to discover Peppa Pig’s show.
