SW Ohio HRA Secretary’s Report/Meeting Minutes
HRA Chapter Meeting- April 10, 2012
Susan Colby was unable to attend and Kelly Bryant welcomed those in attendance and called the meeting to order at 11:40 am in the meeting room at Alkermes, Inc. There were 27 attendees present at the meeting.
General Announcements – Upcoming events include: The OH SHRM Legislative Conference is April 27 in Columbus. This is a great deal for $75 and you get certification hours. The annual SHRM Conference is in Atlanta, GA in June and this is also a great conference to attend if you have never been. Finally, the OH State SHRM Conference is Sept 19-21 in Kalahari in Sandusky. Our next upcoming local HRA meetings are June 12th and August 14th.
Treasurer – John Joy thanked everyone for coming and stated it was great to see such a large group. He reported that we have $5601.68 on balance at Lebanon Citizen’s Bank, with $200 for petty cash for a total of $5801.58.
Membership Chair –Sandy Gilton reported that we currently have 21 paid memberships. We have a lot more people on our mailing list and that attend meetings, so please consider joining. Two more joined at today’s meeting for a total of 23 paid members.
Secretary/Webmaster/Program Chair – Kelly reminded the group that the program chair position is open for 2012. Please contact a board member if you interested in volunteering for this position. Today’s meeting is sponsored by Adecco and at the end of the meeting, Pam Lynch will help us draw a winner of a door prize donated by Adecco.
Kelly introduced Suzy Hummel from Tri-Health and her colleague Alisa Lambert, who spoke about starting a Wellness Program on a budget. Julie Paschall from CareWorks and her colleague Beth Salisbury then shared the most updated information from the OH BWC on Wellness Grants.
The next meeting is scheduled for June 12, 2012.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 pm.
