Global Society
The process of globalization seems to take a leadership role in modern society. It is common to apply such terms as “global language”, “global society”, etc. The current world’s issues are quite compatible with such definitions.
But along with the globalization there are some downsides that don’t do a good to its development. The first, by no means, are the wars that do take place in modern world. What should be done with the war in Iraq, which has been a worldwide curse for civilians, since the USA undertook in 2003 the antiterrorist campaign. What do average people have to do, when their children suffer from malnutrition, when they have no shelter to live in.
At this point, we have to take into account one rather important thing: the goal of globalization is not to unite people all over the world by means of war or economical surpass, but to make this unity somehow applicable to human beings’ interests and preferences.
There are so many drawbacks in modern societies, which this or that way cross people’s blessing and quiet living: the homeless, the poor, the disabled. But unluckily, there’s the lack of methods which enable us to get rid of them. First thing we must bear in our minds is that there are no doors closed, there is always an output.
It can be done with the help of media literacy. The latter can educate people in the suitable way in order to get out of the vacuum space and feel free in making choice, in having personal point of view, in everything.
Personally, I do believe that a number of downsides that modern societies are abound in, come from the lack of knowledge and intercultural cooperation, which can be produced much better.

Media Literacy in Modern Cultural Environment
The essence of modern literacy and education is that it should be non-commercial. Commerce makes the access to education much more sophisticated and
Unaffordable. To ease the ways of getting education, media literacy and E – learning can be put into practice.
Besides there’s another problem: the lack of information. It’s necessary to define “what is the access to the sources of information”. At this stage arise many criteria such as: communicating competence, social and cultural activity.
Within these terms E – learning takes an intercultural and interlingual function.
And the importance of media literacy becomes tremendous, there’s no doubt about that. These two sources become the main ones as there’s the lack of others. In modern cultural environment educators or simply people who are supposed to become educated can’t mange well without profound cognitive abilities. The E – learning process serves these very aims: to give the access to knowledge without too much expenses and financial limits.
To my mind, this method of getting knowledge should be somehow promoted in modern society, in order to enable more people to define their way to knowledge.
