The district science fair will be in January/February and North Jackson Jaguars will be ready! Please keep this page so you have a reminder of important due dates! We will be completing most of the projects/experiments AT SCHOOL, so if you use the time given to you at school, it will not be necessary to work on it at home! Use your time wisely!! (These dates may change for your child depending on the experiment. Some take longer and may require different dates.)

·  November 20-21 Research questions during technology time.

·  November 25– Question is due – it should be a quality question that can be tested – make a connection – why is it important – think about it!

·  December 5– Bibliography, variables, and hypothesis is due.

·  December 8– Materials list and written procedures are due.

·  December 8 - Science Fair board is due at school (put your name on the back) along with all materials for your experiment– experiments begin this day!

·  December 19 – Data Collection should be finished unless special permission is obtained. All information is due, TYPED (question, hypothesis, variables, materials, procedures)

·  January 5-7 data will continue to be analyzed and graphs completed. Presentation boards get completed these days (all typed information, borders, decorations, etc. are affixed to the board)

·  January 8/9 practice for Presentations and finalize all projects

·  January 9 – ALL MATERIALS AND FINAL PROJECT MUST BE COMPLETE.

·  January 12/13 – Projects will be presented in class.

On each due date there will be a grade given based on a rubric for that specific part of the project. Review the rubrics before the due date to make sure you have proficient or distinguished work! There will be several grades based on your work during the science fair project. Take it seriously and do your best!
