SAVANNAH TOURS FINAL NOTE

Greetings,

The time has come……our Savannah Tours Day is THIS WEEK, this Thursday! All houses are due with costumes tomorrow, Tuesday. If you need one more working day, Wednesday is the absolute latest houses can be brought in. This is February 24th-25th. No houses should come in Thursday. It will be considered too late on Thursday, as that is the day of our tours. All houses should be put on cubbies outside classrooms when brought in because there is no place to store 28 houses in the Gep room!

COSTUMES: Bring costumes in a bag with the student’s name. All students must wear his/her uniform to school Thursday. Students will be taken to the restroom prior to the tours to change. Uniforms will be placed in bags while they are wearing their costume. When the tours are done, students will put their uniform back on and bring costumes home. Please remember, costumes can be as simple as a hat with his or her uniform, or as elaborate as they choose.

SPEECHES/REST: We will be giving our speeches as classes take tours through our laid out Savannah in front of the school, pretty much all day. Speeches have been written in Gep, and they will be practicing this week. Students will have a brief break from the tours and for lunch. It will be an extremely busy day outside for the kids, so please make sure they get good rest the night before!

LUNCH: Students will be eating with his/her own classrooms. This gives them a break and a little reprieve time. Please send a home lunch to school Thursday, so they don’t use their break in the lunch line. It just allows for a little less of a rush for them.

VISITATION: We would love to have you visit our tour. It is a wonderful opportunity to hear what the students have prepared. The students tend to be very proud of what they have created, and they have worked extremely hard to get it all done, as I am sure you can attest to! So please come by if you have the opportunity. You may join along with other classes on the tour, going to either Tour A or Tour B. Make sure you follow the arrows in the direction to travel through and/or your provided tour guide!

If you have ANY questions at all, at this time, please don’t hesitate to call me. I would be happy to answer any questions or help in any way you might need. My cell is 704-4518

I look forward to Thursday, and good luck during those last minute times at home getting the houses and costumes ready to go! Meri Scribner….GEP
