Plein Air 2016 Registration Materials
Come to Red Wing for the Tenth Annual 2016 Plein Air Art Festival June 20 to 25. Artists may apply as a Featured or Open Class Artist.
Featured Artists must submit all registration materials and commit to attend most plein air events for the week. The selected artists will be featured in promotional materials and included in the Plein Air Beer, Wine and Art event, June 24th and Gallery Show, June 25 – August 28, 2016. Registration deadline is April 15, 2016 or when we reach 30 Featured Artists registered.
Open Class Artists are required to register and are welcome to participate in any or all plein air events. Registered Open Class artists are invited to submit one painting to the open class show. Artwork will be judged Friday afternoon and included for the duration of the gallery show. Registration is open through 10 am June 20.

RWAA Plein Air Artist Information
Featured Plein Air Artist information
To be considered for selection as a Featured Plein Air Artist, the following information must be received by RWAA by April 15, 2016.
q The registration form
q Three examples of current plein air artwork on CD or DVD, or in high quality digital files emailed to RWAA ()
q A one paragraph artist statement for promotional use (between 80 and 100 words)
q Indicate your selected image of a painting to be used in promotional materials
q A resume of your art education, experience and awards
About the Event:
Three paintings per artist will be accepted for award consideration and hung in the Gallery for the Friday Night Beer, Wine and Art event. The Quick Paint piece will be added to the show on Saturday after the announcement of the Best of Quick Paint voted on by the public during an hour display period. Artwork will be shown in the Plein Air Gallery Show from June 25 – August 28, 2016. Artists are invited to leave one additional piece for RWAA to have available to replace sold pieces.
Open Class Artist Information
The Open Class Artist option is available for artists that are interested in painting in a plein air event without the extra pressure of the Featured Artist required participation.
All that is required for participation as an Open Class Artist is to complete the application form and submit your application fee to RWAA in advance or by 10 am, June 20, 2016.
