JOB DESCRIPTION
Hi-Q2 Math Project-Math Coach Facilitator
RESPONSIBLE TO:Chief Academic Officer/Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Hi-Q2 Project Director)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's Degree and Kentucky Certification as a School Administrator is required. Experience in administering and leading education programs, expertise in math education and coaching educators, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills is also required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with the Project Director to assist in the implementation of the project and requirements in the yearly scope of work.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Participate in all project professional learning activities throughout the timeframe of the Hi-Q2 Project.
- Work with the Project Director to complete the monitoring reports and financial reports to be submitted to KDE.
- Prepare reports for the monthly District Services Report and submit to the Project Director.
- Work with the 3rd party and OVEC trainers to ensure effective professional learning for participants.
- Coordinate sessions with evaluators and schedule focus groups for full participation.
- Assist the Project Director in setting up all professional learnings (initial and follow-up) for the project.
- Attend group professional learning sessions required by the Project.
- Conduct in-school one-on-one coaching with the math coaches, and consultations with the school administrators.
- Maintain a log of findings from all coaching, consulting, reflection, feedback sessions, and study finding for commonality, changes needed.
- Plan and conduct reflection and feedback sessions and concluding session for all project participants, as a follow-up to any project activities.
- Assist the Project Director in preparing and completing all deliverables as outlined in the project scope of work.
- Work with the Project Director to contact the OVEC partner districts to communicate project plans in each phase of the work.
- Assist in the networking with the Project Director of Hi-Q Project (1st MSP grant) on connecting the work and professional learning.
- Assist in the recruitment of participants from current projects and by other means for Year 2 of Hi-Q2.
- Collect sign-in sheets and track contact hours, utilizing administrative assistant as needed.
- Analyze data (MAP, etc.) from participating districts to gain insights about project impact.
- Meet with the Project Director on an on-going basis, to update status regarding the project.
- Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics as established by the Education Professional Standards Board.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Academic Officer/Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Hi-Q2 Project Director).
COMPENSATION: Contract for a maximum of 240 days. Salary based on rank and experience in accordance with OVEC’s Certified Employee salary schedule.
