Sometimes you can already feel the spring in March. The sun is warm and the days become longer. The first spring holiday is Easter. Students have their Easter holiday although it only lasts one week. Easter begins with Good Friday. Children all over the world paint eggs. Shops are full of chocolate eggs, hares and chicks. Children call these hares Easter bunnies. Colourful eggs are given as present to friends and family members. There are many spring flowers and willow twigs with catkins on sale. People buy them and in this way bring into their homes.

Last Sunday William, John, Peter and Edwin went to the restaurant „Paris“ in Amsterdam. It was a nice, warm autumn evening. They sat at the table near the window, listened to the music and told their stories.

William said he bought a Volvo. He said it was a good and not very expensive car. He said it was fast.

Edwin said he visited a lot of churches in Tallinn and he said he liked them. He came from Estonia two months ago and he can already speak Estonian a little.

John said he was very busy and he had to visit many countries. He has a girlfriend in Tallinn and he sent her many letters from a lot of countries.

Peter stayed in Riga for two weeks and had to leave on Monday. He said he liked people in Latvia. William said people in Latvia use too much salt and fat. Then he asked John to pass him some salt and he poured almost half of the salt-pot onto his plate. He also said there was too little butter on his bread.
