· Practice basic first-aid procedures.

Standard 3: Hand Tools Operations and Procedures (5 to 10 days)
Goal: Demonstrate proficiency in use and operation of hand tools

Standard 4: Portable Power Tools Safety and Operations (5 to 10 days)

Standard 5: Stationary Power Equipment (10 to 20 days)
Goal: Demonstrate and Utilize proficiency in operating power equipment.
5. / · Use a stationary table saw to make cross, rip, miter, dado and groove cuts.
· Use a radial arm saw to make cross, rip, miter, compound angle, dado, and groove cuts.
· Use a drill press to drill, counterbore and countersink holes in stock and bore holes at an angle.
· Use a jointer to square, bevel, or chamfer stock.
· Use a thickness planer to trim stock to a specified thickness.
· Use a band saw to make straight, curved, rectangular and freehand cuts.
· Remove and replace band saw blades.
· Use a shaper to mold stock with a template, fence, miter guage or pin and bearing.
· Use a power miter box saw to make miter cuts.
· Abrade surfaces using a power belt, disc, and/or spindle sanders. / ESS

· Draw working drawings to scale using an architect’s ruler.
