Secretary (Judy Holloway) I received a phone call from a current 7th grader’s parent who is going to be a U15 travel player in the fall. Last year Red Lion was able to register as U15 to allow one player to play on the U14 team but they played in the combined U14/U15 league in YorkUSA. She would like the same concession made for her child. Can we discuss? Also-several coaches have sent me their concussion training certificates already so we are off to a good start on that as well.

Spring Soccer Coordinator (Jeff Brady)Spring IM is underway. We do have one team short on players due to one player being registered in the wrong age group and one player not showing up. We may need to line the large field with orange to move thegoals in for the 4-5 agegroup. They only have 8-9 players per team and will be playing 7v7. We had three kids registered in the wrong age group.We have two players drop out because it is too far to travel...we will provide refunds...no jerseys were ordered for them.

Registration totals:

K = 33

1st = 55

2-3 = 49

4-5 = 36

6-8 = 38

K-1 registration is up a little, 2-3 is down, 4-5 is down and 6-8 is the same as last year

We are missing three jerseys from the initial order and we need to order two more jerseys today.

CodorusTownship purchased three cases of paint to line the fields and received a free liner. They are also putting in a pavilion with a storage room which is where we will eventually be able to store the paint and liner. Games start Sunday, April 14, 2013.

Travel Coordinator (Scott Goble)Fines and Fees from YorkUSA. $50 fine for missing two coaches at the last mandatory coaches meeting. Try-out dates are for MDSL travel are May 4, 5, 9, 11, 14, 15, 21, 22 and 29, of 2013. Coaches are coming along ok. U11 age group may need two coaches (2 teams) for both boys and girls because of the large numbers. Travel Committee meeting is April 22nd. New ref fees for EPYSA will be listed on our website. I have been approached by two separate players parent’s, one female, one male regarding the grade appropriate issue versus the age appropriate issue. Dan Rebich spoke about his son being one of these children and discussed what he found out from YorkUSA. Mick Geisinger from York USA contacted him and advised that MDSL allow these children to register as a U15 so that when York USA meets to make their decision regarding age groups they can gauge how many players in York County are affected. Shawn made a motion that we allow late registrations for a u15 player to register and try-out (late) if we determine that York USA will have a combined u14/u15 team and there are roster spots available and Judy made a motion to allow this but to add grade appropriate to the motion. Jay seconded it. Motion passed 7-2 and one abstention.

Travel Registrar (Vince McAleer)I have EPYSA password taken care of. Invoices sent to Brian Wentz
