The Kent County Council, in exercise of their powers and under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 44, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby propose to make the following Order:-

The Kent County Council (Various Roads, Dover District) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2005shall have effect as though:

Items to be deleted

Schedule 1.00 – No Waiting at Any Time

Roads in Dover in the District of Dover

Old Charlton Road

On both sides, from its junction with Connaught Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 12.0 metres.

Folkestone Road

From a point 19 metres south west of its junction with Winchelsea Road to a point 43 metres north east of that junction.

From a point 65metres north east of its junction with Winchelsea Road to the junction with St. John’s Road.

Schedule 1.00 – No Waiting at Any Time

Roads in Dover in the District of Dover

Old Charlton Road

On the eastern side of the road, from its junction with Connaught Road for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction.

On the western side of the road, from its junction with Connaught Road for a distance of 12 metres in a northerly direction.

Folkestone Road

From a point 19 metres south west of it’s junction with Winchelsea Road to a point 38 metres north east of that junction.

From a point 63metres north east of its junction with Winchelsea Road to the junction with St. John’s Road.

Roads in Whitfield in the District of Dover

Focal Point Road

On the north west sides from the centre of the roundabout junction with Palmerston Road for a distance of 40metres in a south westerly direction.

On the south east side of the road from the centre of the roundabout junction with Palmerston Road for a distance of 58metres in a south westerly direction.

On the south east side of the road from a point 64 metres from the roundabout junction with Palmerston Road for a distance of 16.5 metres in a south westerly direction.

Gordon Road

On both sides from the junction with Menzies Road for a distance of 100metres in a north westerly direction.

Menzies Road

On both sides for the entire length (encompassing the existing “at any time” waiting restrictions at the junction with Honeywood Road).

Palmerston Road

On both sides from the centre of the roundabout junction with Menzies Road / Focal Point Road for a distance of 117 metres in an easterly direction.

Willingdon Road

On both sides from the centre of the roundabout junction with Menzies Road for a distance of 155 metres in an easterly direction.

This Order shall come into force on XXth day of Xxxx 2016 and may be cited as The Kent County Council (Various Roads, Dover District) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation (Amendment No 41) Order 2016.

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make the above named Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order will be to amend the “at any time”waiting restrictions (double yellow lines)as follows:

Old Charlton Road, Dover – the existing waiting restrictions at the Connaught Road end of the street will be extended by a further 8 metres to 20 metres.

Folkestone Road, Dover – The existing waiting restrictions will be reduced by 2metres outside no.88 and by 5metres outside no.96.

Focal Point Road, Whitfield – The existing waiting restrictions on the southeast side of the road will be extended up to the extent of the publicly adopted highway

(AMENDMENT NO 41) ORDER 2016

Kent County Council proposes to make the above named Traffic Regulation Order in the interests of facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
