FrOGS Upcoming Diary Updates
Dear all, welcome back! We hope you all had a lovely half term break. Here is a list of all the FrOGS events that are on the horizon:
- Scarecrow / prop in a box Competition – Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th November. The theme this year is“inspirational famous people / characters”. Maps will be circulated in the second week back after half term. To enter the quiz a £2 entry form should be returned to school by the date stated on the form. The proceeds from refreshments and entries will go to fund outdoor play equipment. The entry with the most correct answers wins a small prize. Our thanks to Hailey Edmonds and her helpers for this wonderful community event.
- Non School Uniform – Friday 17thNovember. Come to school dressed in your own clothes in exchange for a tombola donation for the Winter Fayre. We are collecting bottles (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) for your first child and chocolate or sweets itemsfor siblings. Please bring items to either school site in the morningwhere a FROGS member will collect them.
- Bags2School –Monday 20thNovember.
Collection bags will be sent out shortly. Please bring your bags to the front of school at the start of the school day. Bags2School collect reusable quality men’s, women’s and children’s clothes, paired shoes, handbags but no duvets, pillows, bedding or towels thank you. See the website for further details .FROGS members will be there to collect.
- Soft toy collection – Please save your good condition soft toys for our “Adopt a Teddy” stall at the Winter Fayre. Further details of the collection date will come out shortly.
- Cake collection– Friday 1stDecember. Please bring any donations of cakes (homemade or shop bought) for our Cake stall at the Winter Fayre. Please bring items to school in the morning.
Please label your tins and collect them from the Junior site during or at the end of the event.
- Winter Fayre- Friday 1stDecember, 5-7pm at the JUNIOR site. Please come along and join us to browse FrOGS and outside trader stalls. Additional activities will include festive music, a raffle (1st prize £100 cash), a bottle and sweets tombola, the Secrets Room and some fun games and crafts. Refreshments, hot food and a licensed bar will be available. Please contact FrOGS if you are able to donate a raffle prize.
- School Disco- Friday January 19that the Junior site with Disco Dion.
- Easy Fundraising:Please remember to use Easy Fundraising for your online Christmas shopping. Select Friends of Greentrees School as your cause page and raise money for the school with no extra cost to yourself. To date we have raised £1,145!

To run events FrOGS rely on the generous help from our band of volunteers. If you would like to join our “Helper List” please fill in your details below or email your details to . An email will be sent out prior to every FroGS event asking for volunteers, helpers can volunteer for which events they are able to help at.
Examples of help needed with upcoming events:
- Winter Fayre event - serving food, or help on a stall (for a half hour slot) e.g. tombola, craft tables.
- Donating a raffle prize or selling additional raffle tickets.
- Serving refreshments at a discoor a school production.
