Mrs. Ball’s Bulletin
Week ofOctober 3, 2016
This week, we…
We have had a busy week learning all about apples! We graphed how many of each color we received, talked about the parts and characteristics of an apple, enjoyed some apple art and finally tasted applesauce! It was a great week. Thanks to all who sent apples! Our letter of the week was M, and we talked about Matter in Science. Our sight word was “and”. Please continue to review letters and sight words at home! We continued to work on identifying and writing numbers 1-10 in Math.
We read…
We enjoyed lots ofbooks! They included:Amazing Apples, Up UpUp It’s Apple Picking Time, Johnny Appleseed, A Day at the Apple Orchard, The Biggest Apple Ever, The Little Red House, Apple Trouble, The Little Mouse and the Big Red Apple, Apples, Apples ApplesApples, Under the Apple Tree and more!
Chester
Chester, the guinea pig, has settled in nicely and seems to be happy in his new Kindergarten home! He has grown quite a bit, and is able to roll himself around the room in his ball. His squeaky noises are so cute! Not being a fan of rodents, I have to admit that having a guinea pig around isn’t bad at all! The kids all love him and have been great around him so far. He is definitely a great addition to our class!
Next Week
We will enjoy a unit on Pumpkins next week! Our letter will be S, and we will review our sight words. We have learned: I, like, the , and, plus color words so far. Please continue to review at home!
