Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia is a feminist organization which provides 24/7 telephone counselling services for anyone in Australia who has experienced or is at risk of sexual violence, family or domestic violence and their non offending supporters. Face to face counselling services are also delivered at Women’s Health Centres, NSW. Proactively we raise awareness through the Full Stop Foundation and a range of educational programs. We provideVicarious Trauma support programs to people working with trauma.
Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia is proud to announce that it recently received confirmation that one of its key services will continue to receive funding into the future. Following this exciting news, we are recruiting for a Casual Trainer to join our expanding team.
You will join a growing organisation with more than 100 employees in clinical practice, project and training work and a $10 million plus annual turnover. We are growing due to the Australian National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010‐2022.

The Role
You will work on an as-needs basis as part ofour training team, providingexcellent quality professional development programs to a range of agencies that require training. This role may involve work outside of normal business hours and may require out of state travel, with paid travel time included.
You will utilise your excellent presentation and facilitation skills; knowledge of feminist practice and approaches; and knowledge and experience in applying adult learning principles to implement, tailor and monitor events to a wide array of audiences across government, private and non-government sectors.
As a trainer, you will demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism, ethical behaviour and an awareness of multiple factors which will influence individual participants’ responses to training and professional development events.

Skills and experience
You will have either a minimum of 3 years experience in a direct therapeutic service delivery role for people who have been traumatised or a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or Counselling. As a Trainer, you will incorporate feminist perspectives into all training programs, and will hold a strong commitment to excellence in provision of adult education. You will have experience managing group dynamics in a training context, and excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Additionally, you have completed a Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment.
Location
Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia is currently located in Sydney'sInner West, however this role will involve interstate travel.
