Beginning Thursday, April 7, at 4 pm in the Fellowship Halla new educational opportunity is being offered, Thirsty Thursdays. Our first study topic will focus on World Religions and will include: A Christian approach to understanding other faiths; Judaism; Islam; Hinduism; Buddhism; Mormonism; Jehovah Witness; Christian Science; 7th Day Adventist; Gnosticism; Cults; Scientology; Spiritualism; Questions and Answers (depending on how tough the questions are….). Everyone is welcome. Feel free to invite friends.

Thursday April 7,anytime from 5-8 pm, enjoy a meal featuring a bottomless bowl of soup and bread for $10. This dinner benefits one of our missions, My Sister's Place and will take place at the Eventuary (560 SW Fleet Ave).

Saturday, April 23, at 2pm, the women of CBTS as well as community members are invited to share in a High Tea. It will be an elegant afternoon of fine food, fellowship, and entertainment from the Tillamook Worship Dancers. Come and bring a friend. Reservations are a must – 541-992-3399 – BOLD HATS ARE ENCOURAGED.

On Sunday March 20, Terry Johnson presented to those who stayed after church a wonderful method of inviting others to CBTS for activities and worship. Terry on behalf of Session created and printed 500 postcard sized pictures of CBTS with directions on the back. They are perfect to hand to a friend and to place on the refrigerator at home. Mondays at10:00Knitting ladies in the fellowship Hall. The ladies continue to knit cocoons and hats for new born children in Lincoln City. Don’t know how to knit? Several are learning from the seasoned pros. Sometimes the knitting moves into having lunch together and every now and then…special outings. Sounds like fun.

Tuesdays at 10;00 Ladies walk, talk and pray group meets at Chapel by the Sea for a leisure walk around the area or the beach. Four legged friends welcome.

Wednesdays at9:30a weekly Bible study at Pacific Grind Coffee Shop in Taft. Each day we discuss the Bible passages that Pastor Paul will use in his sermon the following Sunday. It is a vibrant discussion of scriptures meaning and how it applies every day.

SecondThursdayof each month at1:00 pm, the Women’s Book Club meets at the church. Anyone (church and/or community) interested in reading a book, getting together over delicious refreshments and discussing a book are welcome to come. Men have even been known to show up from time to time.

Third TuesdayMen’s Lunch, April 19, at Lil’ Sambos, 11:30. Our speaker this month will be Bob Miller. Amongst all other things, Bob has been involved in mining. He is going to share with us his geological adventures. Bring a friend.

Tuesday April 26, leaving at 10 am, will be a Ladies trip to Yachats to view the Yachats Community Presbyterian Church's famous agate windows. They are known as the "Church of the Agate Windows". Agates collected from the area beaches went into the creation of these beautiful windows. In addition to the tour, the group will have lunch and a possible walk on the Yachats beach.

Saturday April 9that 2:00 PM- A memorial service of appreciation for the life and living of Hoyt Sherwin will be held at Chapel by the Sea. The Deacons will be catering light refreshments following the service.
