CACI Property Consulting, work alongside the Location Planning Team within CACI’s Market Planning Group. The Location Planning Team specialises in developing turnover models, network strategies, customer/outlet segmentations and bespoke shopping models for retailers and financial service providers. There is strong bonds between the two teams in terms of analytical techniques, project resources, marketing support and interchange of staff.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of CACI Property Consulting, the Senior Property Consultant’s role is primarily the delivery of a variety of projects including retail impact analysis, tenant mix analysis, sales forecasts, floorspace capacity analysis, customer performance, competitive positioning and marketing strategies. Working within a busy team, consultants are expected to take ownership of their projects from inception to completion, ensuring high analytical standards, clear conclusions and prompt delivery. The role involves significant contact with external parties including representatives of the client, key project team professionals (typically planners, architects, property agents and marketing advisors) and other stakeholders (e.g. potential occupiers, local authorities and investors). Consultants are also expected to assist business development activity through participation in client pitches, liaison with partner organisations and ongoing CACI marketing activity.
The Person
CACI Property Consulting has a strong track record of growth, having doubled the throughput of projects every year for the past 5 years. The successful candidate will contribute to this growth through being numerate, confident, credible, geographically literate, articulate, innovative and client focused.
3 to 4 years business experience, including 2 to 3 years experience in an internal/external consultancy role is essential. Experience of retail location analysis or retail property research will be an advantage however, highly motivated candidates who can demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn quickly will also be considered and, where necessary, given training. Strong presentation, report writing and IT skills (Access, Excel, Word, Powerpoint) are essential, while fluency in a second European language and familiarity with geographical analysis techniques are highly desirable.
