ARN APPOINTS BRETT ‘NOZZ’ NOSSITER AS FIRST DEDICATED IHEARTRADIO CONTENT DIRECTOR

Australian Radio Network (ARN) today announced the appointment of Brett ‘Nozz’ Nossiter as iHeartRadio Australia’s first Content Director.

The appointment follows last month’s announcement that ARN has partnered with content marketing business Emotive on a number of new initiatives for iHeartRadio designed to engage even more audiences and brands with the platform. The partnership is part of ARN’s ongoing growth strategy to build on iHeartRadio’s Australian success over the past 18 months.

Effective May 4th, Brett will bring more than 15 years’ experience to ARN, gained from roles across radio, television and live events. A dual ACRA winner and heavily recognised for his expertise in the industry, Brett has worked as both music director and program director at Foxtel’s Channel [V] and Nova Entertainment. His recent role as Content Acquisition & Partnerships Director at Authentic Entertainment also saw him playing a significant role in the relaunch of the iconic Live at the Chapel brand, and launching music brand Planet Vevo and the world-first Radio X Factor.

ARN National Content Director Duncan Campbell said Brett will be a valuable addition to the iHeartRadio team and a key part of implementing new growth strategies for the digital entertainment brand.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Brett to the team. He will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this newly created role. His proven experience across radio, television and live events will mean even more unforgettable musical experiences for our audiences, coupled with creating great unique and engaging content,” Duncan said.

Key to Brett’s role will be building on iHeartRadio’s Australian success of the past 18 months, which has resulted in over 400,000 registered users.

Brett will also work closely with Emotive as part of the partnership with ARN, to ensure maximum leverage of new initiatives as part of the evolution of the iHeartRadio LIVE series which was launched earlier this month with global superstar Hozier, as well as the new iHeartRadio Countdown with Matty Acton, iHeartRadio on the Verge, which is designed to jumpstart new talent, and new genre-specific channels.

ARN’s CEO Ciaran Davis said: “This appointment is part of ARN’s ongoing evolution and growth of iHeartRadio. Combined with Emotive’s dedicated content marketing approach, this will result in further growth for the platform while providing brands with even more targeted commercial opportunities and giving audiences more of what they love.

“iHeartRadio is fast becoming the leading music and entertainment platform in Australia and is a key part of ARN’s growth strategy as we expand our digital and social properties.”
