WHEREAS: The Cambridge Arts Council’s 2002 Grant Program funded thirty-five artistic projects directly benefiting the residents and neighborhoods of Cambridge; and
WHEREAS: On Tuesday, March 26, 2002, the Cambridge Arts Council will hold its Fourth Annual Grant Awards Celebration beginning at 5:30 p.m. and located at the Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School; and
WHEREAS: This celebration highlights grantees’ accomplishments with a project exhibition, a performance showcase and a public reception; now therefore be it
RESOLVED: That the City Council go on record congratulating the Cambridge Arts Council on the success of the Fourth Annual Grant Awards Celebration and offering congratulations to all of the 2002 grantees for their excellent work and valuable contributions to the cultural life of the City; and be it further
RESOLVED: That the City Clerk be and hereby is requested to forward a suitably engrossed copy of this resolution to the Cambridge Arts Council and to the Massachusetts Cultural Council on behalf of the Cambridge City Council.
