i)In your CG, learn to practise the gift of prophecy for one another. Turn to someone you least know and ask the Holy Spiirt for a word for the person.

ii)Be bold in releasing the words following the rule of “encouraging, non-corrective and non-directive.”

Money: Just a little bit more

(Mt. 21:33-41; Isa. 5:1-7)

The BIG Idea:

Everyone betrays Jesus for money; but it is what we do next that counts.

Reflection & Application Questions:

  1. If Jesus were commenting on your lifestyle today, what do you think He might say? How can we know when we are guilty of living in excessive luxury?
  2. Can you be trusted with what God has allowed you to have? Does the way you spend and give demonstrate that He can trust you with more?
  3. Where are your riches? How much are you investing for eternity? How would you like to be remembered?

As you are preparing for this session, this is a great time to pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you to use the questions efficaciously. You can select, modify or entirely create your own questions, according to the needs of your CG.

After reading the Parable of the Tenants (Matt. 21:33-41), what was your reaction when you realise that you might be the tenants that Jesus was talking about & why?

1.Gratitude

2. Faithfulness

There were many opportunities for the tenants to return the fruits of the vineyard to the Lord of the vineyard (v.34-39) instead they took possession of it and denied the Lord.

What are the opportunities that God may be giving you to give away the money God has blessed you with?

What are the possible challenges which may hinder us from giving when such opportunities arise?

3. Vision

There were consequences for the tenants who failed to honor God with the fruits of the vineyard (v.40-41).

What are the possible consequences if we fail to honor God with our finance?How does it affect ourpersonal life, spiritual life, our church & its ministry?
