Theme. Appearance of Cartoon Characters
Objectives:
- to train using of the lexical material on the topics “Appearance”, “Clothes”;
- to improve reading, listening, speaking and writing skills;
- to revise grammar material;
- to develop students ability to work in pairs;
- to promote broadening of general outlook of pupils;
- to develop logical and creative thinking, memory.
Equipment: multimedia equipment, a blackboard, pictures “Cartoon Characters”, handouts on the topic.
Type of the lesson: interactive.
Procedure
I. Introduction
1.1. Greeting
T: Good morning, pupils.
Ps: Good morning, dear teacher!
Good morning, how are you?
We are very happy
To say “Hello to you”.
T: How are you? – (Fine, thanks.)
T: Children, today we have guests. They want to see how you can work. You are fine and I hope you will be energetic, active and creative at the lesson.
1.2. Warming-up
T: Look at this slide. (Slide 2)
This is an entrance to Disneyland Park. To enter there you should remember all clothes we have learnt with you. Let’s play game. You have to clap three times on your knees and then you clap your hands and tell the name of the cloth.
But we can’t enter to Disneyland Park.
Look at this slide. Let’s read the poem. (Slides 3-5)

The Theme and the Objectives of the lesson
T: On the blackboard you can see somebody. Who is this? Let’s dress our hero and we’ll see our guest. Who wants to go to the blackboard and dress our guest? Use the phrase you can see on the blackboard:

T: Who is this?
Ps.: This is Little Red Riding Hood.
T: Right, you are. She came to visit us and to help us:
to revise and use the words on the topics “Appearance”, “Clothes”
to talk about characters from cartoons;

T: Today you’ll have an unusual lesson because we invite you to Disneyland Park, where characters from cartoons live.
II. The Main Part of the Lesson
2.1. Listening
1.1. Pre-Listening Task
T: What does our guest Little Red Riding Hood look like?
Ps: She is beautiful. She is pretty. She is nice.
T.: You are right. And today Little Red Riding Hood wants to tell you her story. Look at the screen. (Video Little Red Riding Hood)
1.2. After – Listening Task
You have heard a very interesting story about our guest and now help our Little Red Riding Hood to do the tasks. (HO1)
2.2.Grammar Review
T: Now you can focus on grammar. Look at table on the blackboard. It will help you to form the Present Continuous Tense.

2.3.Reading
T.: Our guest Little Red Riding Hood wants you to read about her clothes and she wants you to colour it. (HO2)

2.4. Rest Time
T: All characters are merry and funny. They like to spend their free time in clubs. The most favourite one is “Dancing Club”.
