Job Description for: Marketing Intern

AIM / To support the Fundraising & Supporter Relations Manager to create marketing and fundraising resources and content for Welcare’s website and other linked websites, parish and school newsletters,developing local press links, and enhancing a range of marketing and promotional materials. To supportmarketing and fundraising events across Welcare.The post holder will have particular responsibility for marketing Welcare’s 120th anniversary which will be celebrated with a service in Southwark Cathedral in November 2014.
ACCOUNTABILITY / The post holder reports to the Fundraising &Supporter Relations Manager, and in turn to the Chief Executive, who is responsible to Trustees for staff management & professional service delivery.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / 6 month term
ROLE TASKS /
- To undertake day-to-day responsibility for marketing in connection with Welcare’s 120th anniversary service. To assist in administration of Welcare's fundraising and marketing database (eTapestry by Blackbaud), inputting data in liaison with the Fundraising & Supporter Relations Manager
- Update content on Welcare’s website as requested, including job vacancies, news, and information from the local centres
- Identify opportunities to promote the work of Welcare in local press and radio across south London and East Surrey.
- To generate and manage content for social media helping to raise Welcare’s online profile
- Any other tasks that the Fundraising & Supporter Relations Manager may deem necessary to the role
TEAMWORK /
- Work as part of the Welcare Central team to ensure that the service is welcoming and accessible to all
- Attend staff and team meetings
- Participate in supervision and training as agreed by the line manager
- Maintain a high standard of professional practice, both within Welcare & in the wider multi-agency environment
