Stanley L. Garnett, District Attorney for the Twentieth Judicial District, of the State of Colorado, in the name and by the authority of the People of the State of Colorado, informs the court of the following offenses committed, or triable, in the County of Boulder.
COUNT 1- CRIMINAL ATTEMPT TO COMMIT THEFT(F4)
That on or about June 29, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado by engaging in conduct constituting a substantial step toward the commission of theft, Gregory Kotsaftis unlawfully, feloniously, and knowingly attempted to obtain or exercise control over a thing of value, namely: U.S. currency, of Paul Motors, with the value of twenty thousand dollars or more, without authorization, or by threat or deception, and intended to deprive Paul Motors permanently of its use or benefit; in violation of sections 18-4-401(1)(a),(2)(c) and 18-2-101, C.R.S.
COUNT 2- THEFT(F4)
That on or about August 09, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado Gregory Kotsaftis unlawfully, feloniously, and knowingly obtained or exercised control over a thing of value, namely: U.S. currency, of Jerry Nieminen and/or E-Bay, with the value of one thousand dollars or more but less than twenty thousand dollars, without authorization, or by threat or deception, and intended to deprive Jerry Nieminen and/or E-Bay permanently of its use or benefit; in violation of section 18-4-401(1)(a),(2)(c), C.R.S.
COUNT 3- THEFT(F3)
That on or about August 08, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado Gregory Kotsaftis unlawfully, feloniously, and knowingly obtained or exercised control over a thing of value, namely: U.S. currency, of Dale Schiazza and/or E-Bay, with the value of twenty thousand dollars or more, without authorization, or by threat or deception, and intended to deprive Dale Schiazza and/or E-Bay permanently of its use or benefit; in violation of section 18-4-401(1)(a),(2)(d), C.R.S.
COUNT 4- THEFT(F4)
That on or about August 23, 2011 to September 17, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado Gregory Kotsaftis unlawfully, feloniously, and knowingly obtained or exercised control over a thing of value, namely: U.S. currency, of Brad and/or Lynn Peterson, with the value of one thousand dollars or more but less than twenty thousand dollars, without authorization, or by threat or deception, and intended to deprive Brad and/or Lynn Peterson permanently of its use or benefit; in violation of section 18-4-401(1)(a),(2)(c), C.R.S.
COUNT 5- FRAUD BY CHECK(F6)
That on or about September 17, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado Gregory Kotsaftis, knowing he had insufficient funds with the drawee, Great Western Bank, with intent to defraud, unlawfully and feloniously issued a check in the sum of one thousand dollars or more to Brad Peterson for the payment of money; in violation of section 18-5-205(2),(3)(c), C.R.S.
COUNT 6- THEFT(F3)
That on or about July 19, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado Gregory Kotsaftis unlawfully, feloniously, and knowingly obtained or exercised control over a thing of value, namely: U.S. currency, of Oskar Hrach, with the value of twenty thousand dollars or more, without authorization, or by threat or deception, and intended to deprive Oskar Hrach permanently of its use or benefit; in violation of section 18-4-401(1)(a),(2)(d), C.R.S.
COUNT 7- FRAUD BY CHECK(F6)
That on or about July 29, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado Gregory Kotsaftis, knowing he had insufficient funds with the drawee, Mile High Banks, with intent to defraud, unlawfully and feloniously issued a check in the sum of one thousand dollars or more to Oskar Hrach for the payment of money; in violation of section 18-5-205(2),(3)(c), C.R.S.
COUNT 8- FRAUD BY CHECK(F6)
That on or about August 12, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado Gregory Kotsaftis, knowing he had insufficient funds with the drawee, Mile High Bank, with intent to defraud, unlawfully and feloniously issued a check in the sum of one thousand dollars or more to Oscar Hrach for the payment of money; in violation of section 18-5-205(2),(3)(c), C.R.S.
COUNT 9- CRIMINAL ATTEMPT TO COMMIT THEFT(F4)
That on or about August 24, 2011 in, or triable in, the County of Boulder, State of Colorado by engaging in conduct constituting a substantial step toward the commission of theft, Gregory Kotsaftis unlawfully, feloniously, and knowingly attempted to obtain or exercise control over a thing of value, namely: U.S. currency, of Asheley Kinsey, with the value of twenty thousand dollars or more, without authorization, or by threat or deception, and intended to deprive Asheley Kinsey permanently of its use or benefit; in violation of sections 18-4-401(1)(a),(2)(c) and 18-2-101, C.R.S.
All offenses against the peace and dignity of the People of the State of Colorado.
