Senior Class officers meet twice a month during C lunch. If elected, Senior Class Officers will agree to attend the meetings. They must also commit to attending events outside of the school day.

Senior Class Officer Elections

In order to run for Class Officer, you must:

·  have and maintain a 3.0 GPA for the upcoming school year

·  complete information sheet

·  complete application and turn in to Mrs. Turner (Annex 223) by due date

·  ask two teachers to evaluate you with the attached forms

·  sign up for an interview time with Mrs. Turner in Annex 223

Important Information:

·  Results are determined by application (30 points), interview (35 points), and popular vote (35 points).

·  Interviews will be on April 20– 21.

·  Class Officer elections will be held on Friday, April 21, online at voting4schools.com/deercreek

·  Candidates should not remove or vandalize posters of competitors.

·  In the event that a candidate is running unopposed, his or her name will still be submitted to election by peers.

·  Students will have their information sheet displayed in the hall outside the cafeteria.

·  A person may not serve as a class officer and be on Student Council.

·  In the event that someone is elected but cannot serve in his/her office, the runner-up will be given the office.

·  Students must turn in the Application and Information Sheet by the due date to be considered.

Every Senior Class Officer candidate is required to answer the following questions. A committee will evaluate your responses and assign up to 35 points for this portion of the election process. Please type your responses (including your ID number) in 12-point Times New Roman font. You can single- or double-space your responses. Fit everything on one page.
