Job Title: Driver/Administrative Clerk

Project Purpose: Drawing upon Moldovan and global expertise in facilitating local self-governance and community-led development, the Ministry of Local Public Administration and UNDP proposes to implement an Integrated Local Development Programme (ILDP) that provides knowledge-based policy advice at central and regional levels coupled with a scaled up community-level intervention that aims to integrate local authorities into regional and community level development processes.

Organizational Setting: The subscriber will provide support services to the project managers under the direct supervision and coordination of the ILDP Coordinator.

The Driver/Administrative Clerk is responsible for the car maintenance and clerical responsibilities executed in coordination with ILDP Coordinator, Project Managers, and ILDP Financial Assistant.

Specific tasks and responsibilities:

Car maintenance:

§  Ensure that the assigned vehicle is clean and road worthy;

§  Check vehicle condition/requirement and fill the Log Book properly;

§  Ensure proper maintenance and serving of the assigning vehicle is taken place on day-to-day and report on supervisors on time;

§  Meet official personnel at the airport and make the arrangements for the accommodation services;

§  Drive office vehicle for transportation of authorized personnel and delivery/collection of cargo, pouch and other items;

§  Make field trips in/or out out-side the country;

§  Prepare monthly summary of oil consumption and report to supervisor;

§  Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, perform minor repairs and arrange for other related repairs;

§  Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident;

§  Perform all other related duties.

Clerical responsibility executed in coordination with ILDP Coordinator/Project Managers/Financial Assistance:

§  Support and assist the Financial Assistant in performing registry-related duties, such as photocopying, providing messenger services and archiving correspondence;

§  Make distribution of the Programme correspondence/material appropriate persons, mails and programme documents;

§  Provide logistical support to Financial Assistant to the organization and preparation of all workshops, meetings and events;

§  Arrange the technical aspect of procurement of equipment, furniture and office supplies

§  Perform all other clerical related duties, upon request.

Qualifications and skills:

§  Driver license;

§  Experience in administrative work, preferably in an international organisation;

§  Knowledge of Romanian and Russian. Knowledge of English is desired;

§  Excellent communication skills, including inter-personal;

§  Good knowledge of Word and Excel is necessary.
