Restoration Ministries Internship

Description

Restoration Ministries at New Life Church is seekingtwo interns this year in a 15-hours per week commitment spanning9 months (Aug 29, 2015 throughMay 2016).

Although this is a non-paid internship, a flexible schedule allows you to have a job as necessary. The internship also offers unique ministry opportunities and training to deepen your walk with Christ while discovering and growing in your own spiritual gifts and life callings, in a healthy local church context.

The Restoration Internship is designed to give you the opportunity to experience God’s heart for you first and foremost and then in service to his people. You can expect to experience greater freedom, healing and wholeness through inner healing prayer and deliverance. You willparticipate in all major elements of caregiving and gain understanding of local church ministry as a possible vocation that God is directing your steps toward. Ultimately, this internship is focused to help you grow in greater intimacy with God through your own inner healing and understanding of Jesus’ presence and power in your life.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all Kairos and Kairos Unlocked events, beginning with Kairos on August 29, 2015
  • Participate in the School of Formational Prayer, which includes Dr. Terry Wardle’s Formational Prayer Seminar (Sep. 16 – 19, 2015), the 16-week Healing Care Group course following the seminar and Sessions practicums in order to gain competency in this protocol.
  • Apprentice as an intercessor/co-caregiver in Restoration’s weeklyThursday Night Sessions
  • Assist with ministry administration as needed which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Various email correspondence, managing volunteer pipeline/group lists via Fellowship One, printing booklets for seminars and events, editing/printing marketing materials, scheduling for Sessions, setting up files and rooms for Sessions, and prepping for Kairosand other Restoration hosted events.
  • Attend weekly meetings, which includes both the Restoration and Pastoral Care team meetings
  • Committed to attending New Life Church as your home church during the entire internship
  • Be open to new opportunities
  • This could include being willing to attend other training opportunities related to inner healing and deliverance ministry, lay counseling, or other areas of ministry interest
  • Read various books that broaden your understanding of inner healing and deliverance
  • Connect with the team
  • Glean the most out of church relationships and ministry team. After all, a loving and unified team is a powerhouse for loving and ministering healing to God’s people
  • Finding your voice: Contribute ideas, opinions, or methods that benefit theministry
  • Be open and transparent with the team knowing we are on this healing journey together!
  • Be willing to learn, heal, and grow!
  • You will gain more ofGod’s heart for the restoration of His people as you allow the Holy Spirit to take you on your own journey of healing during this intentional set apart season. You can expect to finish this internship with a fuller, more freed up heart coming out of a closer, more intimate walk with Jesus.
