PART I.

Tariff of Prices and Fees for Services of the FILM ARCHIVE Department (audiovisual archived records of the National Film Archive)

NOTICE:

The documents archived – film copies on a triacetate base – are loaned solely for screening on a MEOPTA, type MEO 4X, 5X, 5XB device and newer devices. Films on this base cannot be loaned for screening in a MULTIPLEX cinema. Neither interventions nor joining of individual rolls of these film copies are permitted.

Any proven violation of this provision by the user will be deemed to be a use of the loaned archived document at variance with the determined purpose; appropriate sanctions pursuant to the Loan Regulations Governing Access to Film Copies of Audiovisual Works and Audiovisual Recordings, Archived Documents and Collectibles and Access to the Related Services of the National Film Archive (hereinafter referred to as the “Loan Regulations”) – Part III, Article 4, will be imposed on the user.

Article 1.

Preparation of Film Materials Pertaining to Audiovisual Works for Securing Orders at the FA Worksites

(for screening, viewing, selection of shots and for recording purposes)

1.1 - Film Copy Handling

The price for preparation of an archived document or collectible (hereinafter referred to as an “archived document”) recorded on a film medium (16 mm, 35 mm film copy) intended for use at FA workplaces (for screening, viewing, selection of shots and recording)

a) per short film of up to 30 min. € 15.00

b) per mid-length film from 30 min. to 60 min. € 30.00

c) per full-length film from 60 min. to 120 min. € 60.00

d) per full-length film of more than 120 min. € 100.00

Note: the price excludes the fee for use of individual FA worksites (for screening, viewing, selection of shots and recording) with technical operators.

1.2 – Video Media Handling

Price for preparation of an archived document or collectible (hereinafter referred to as an “archived document”) recorded on a video medium intended for use at FA workplaces (for viewing and selection of shots), including the price for use of electronic devices with technical operators

a)  per work recorded on DVD/VHS and for each hour or part of hour of use

of DVD/VHS technology € 10.00

b) per work recorded on a BLU-RAY disc and for each hour or part of hour of use

of BLU-RAY technology € 25.00

c) per work recorded on a U-MATIC cassette and for each hour or part of hour of

use of U-MATIC technology € 20.00

d) per work recorded on BTC SP and for each hour or part of hour of use

of BTC SP technology € 30.00

e) per work recorded on DBTC and for each hour or part of hour of use

of DBTC technology € 50.00

Article 2.

Loan of Film Materials Pertaining to Audiovisual Works off the Premises of SFI

2.1 – In Slovakia

2.1.1 – Loan of Film Copies

The price for loan of an archived document or collectible (hereinafter referred to as an “archived document”) on a film medium (16 mm, 35 mm film copy or film copy of another dimension) intended for each individual use as commenced of the loaned document within the territory of the Slovak Republic (1 film copy per single screening):

a) per short film of up to 30 min. € 15.00

b) per mid-length film from 30 min. to 60 min. € 30.00

c) per full-length film from 60 min. to 120 min. € 60.00

d) per full-length film of more than 120 min. € 100.00

2.1.2 – Loan of Film Materials to Audiovisual Works to Schools with Aesthetic Orientation

The price for loan of an archived document for non-public screening intended solely for study, educational, scientific or research purposes, which is performed at schools with aesthetic orientation on the basis of an agreement (Academy of Performing Arts, or any other university or secondary school with aesthetic orientation) is as follows:

a) per film copy of up to 120 min. € 10.00

b) per film copy of over 120 min. € 20.00

c) per archived document on DVD/VHS € 5.00

2.1.3 – Loan of Film Materials to Audiovisual Works to Film Clubs Registered in Slovakia in the Civil Association of Slovak Film Clubs (ASFK)

The price for loan of an archived document – film copy for public screening and the price for granting authorisation for public screening of the audiovisual work for film clubs registered in Slovakia (Part I. Art. 2.4, subpar. b) of the Regulations) is determined in accordance with the Price List for Services, Art. 2 – point 2.1.1.

2.1.4 – Archived Documents included in the “Klubotéka” Collection (collection of film copies of audiovisual works for which the SFI owns the licence for use in the Slovak Republic, and which are solely to be screened in film clubs) and the loan of these documents by film clubs registered in the Slovak Republic.

The price for loan of the archived document – film copy from the “Klubotéka” collection, including the fee for granting the sub-licence for public screening is as follows, for film clubs registered in Slovakia, per individual screening, as commenced, of the loaned work:

a) per film copy of up to 120 min. € 10.00

b) per film copy of over 120 min. € 20.00

2.1.5 – Loan of Video Media and Data Carriers

The NFA does not, as a matter of principle, release for temporary use by loan or lease, for public screening purposes, audiovisual recordings on media as stipulated in subparagraphs d) to l) or on any other magnetic or digital media which permit the making of copies of the audiovisual recording of broadcasting quality. These may be loaned only on the conclusion of a Licence Agreement. Only the SFI General Director may make an exception to this provision.

The price for loan of an archived document or collectible (hereinafter referred to as an “archived document”) recorded on a video medium, intended for each individual use, as commenced, of the loaned document within the territory of the Slovak Republic (1 video irrespective of its length):

a) work recorded on DVD / VHS € 15.00

b) work recorded on DCP € 100.00

c) KDM key to DCP € 25.00

d) work recorded on U-MATIC cassette €35.00

e) work recorded on BTC SP € 50.00

f) work recorded on DBTC € 100.00

g) work recorded on DVCAM € 100.00

h) work recorded on HDV € 100.00

i) work recorded on BLU-RAY disc € 50.00

j) work recorded on HDCAM € 300.00

k) audio recording to work on DAT € 100.00

l) audio recording to work on CD/DVD € 15.00

2.1.6 – Licence Fee

The price for granting authorisation (licence or sub-licence) for public presentation of an audiovisual work or audiovisual recording over which the Slovak Film Institute (SFI) holds copyrights or rights related to the copyright, or for which the SFI acquired a licence for use, and which is recorded on a medium which is a National Film Archive (NFA) archived document, where the price is determined per public screening, as commenced, of the individual work which is performed within the territory of the Slovak Republic for payment (admission fee) as follows:

a) per short film of up to 30 min. € 10.00

b) per mid-length film from 30 min. to 60 min. € 20.00

c) per full-length film from 60 min. to 120 min. € 40.00

d) per full-length film of over 120 min. € 80.00

e) flat rate fee for public distribution where no admission fee is charged

irrespective of distribution method and film length € 10.00

The price for granting authorisation (licence or sub-licence) for public presentation of the audiovisual work is generally not charged, other than the flat rate fee, if the presentation in question was not made for a payment (admission fee) and if, at the same time, this presentation is specifically intended for study, educational, scientific or research purposes or for purposes of public presentation of Slovak film culture. Any such purpose must be clearly stated in the order, together with the date and venue of public presentation of the work in question. The use of an archived document for this purpose must be approved by the NFA Director. Non-observance of the purpose determined in this way is sanctioned pursuant to the Regulations (Part III. Art. 4) where the prices listed in paragraph 2.1.6 are to be used in calculation of the contractual fine.

2.2 – Outside of Slovakia (Foreign Countries)

2.2.1 – Loan of Film Copies

The price for loaning an archived document or collectible (hereinafter referred to as an “archived document”) on a film medium (16 mm, 35 mm or other size film copy), intended for each individual use, as commenced, of the loaned document outside of the territory of the Slovak Republic (1 film copy per single screening):
