New Accessorial List

Effective 2/12 the rail has implemented a new policy on “leaners”; containers that have been loaded improperly by incorrect load balance and/or improper blocking and bracing. The non-negotiable fine for this is $3500 plus charges to correct and rework the load. Below is our accessorial rate sheet.

Diversion / Change of rail billing to a different ramp / $400 + recalculated transportation costs
Driver Assist / Charge for labor involved when driver is requested to help load/unload a container / $150 / hour
Driver Cleaning / Driver to sweep or wash-out container / $100 - sweep / $175 wash out
Driver Detention - XPO/Pacer / Detention time over the allotted free time - 1hour free unless otherwise specified on quote / $100/ hour
Driver Detention - all others / Detention time over the allotted free time - 2 hours free unless otherwise specified on quote / $85/ hour
Driver Dunnage Disposal / Removing dunnage from unloaded container / $175
Driver Shunting / Dray required to unhook from container, hook up to another container to reposition it then hook back up to original container / $50 per occurrence
Drop Container / Charge for dropping a container for loading/unloading instead of loading/unloading live / If within drop zone - free otherwise will vary by location and mileage from ramp
Dry Run - Truck Ordered Not Used / Driver dispatched to pick up but customer advised not ready while driver in route (see also Misuse charge) / Applicable dray charges
"Leaner" (Improper Loading, Blocking and Bracing) / Any shipment identified as a "leaner" between origin and destination rail ramps due to improper weight distribution and/or lack of proper blocking and bracing is subject to a $3,500 fine and is in addition to any costs incurred to make the load safe to move to destination. / $3,500 plus any additional applicable charges that may apply
Hazardous Material - Domestic US / Hazardous charge for shipment - already included in rate when specified (Need to know at time of quoting so we can check hazmat driver availability). / $400 (unless already included in rate)
Lumper / Lumper service needed at origin/destination / Applicable lumper charges (varies by Lumper)
Misdeclared Shipment / Cargo which upon customs inspection was deemed to be incorrectly described, weighted, measured, and/or counted / $3,500 plus any additional applicable charges that may apply
Misuse Charge / Equipment used/spotted for loading and not used and terminated empty back to rail (see also dry run) / $400 plus any applicable charges that may apply (such as dry run)
Overweight / Shipment either overweight on axle or gross weight / $250 plus applicable rework charges, scale charges, and fines
Per Diem / Daily cost of rail equipment used / 4 days included in door to door rate (2 at origin and 2 at destination). Thereafter: days 1-10 = $25/day, days 11-20 = $75/day - days 21+ = $150/day
Ramp Storage / Daily cost of rail equipment not delivered within ramp free time / 48 hrs. given upon notification unless BNSF which is 24 hrs. Thereafter $175 / day
Reconsignment / Change of consignee location to a different location within same rail ramp area / $400 or applicable dray charges depending on distance
Scale Light & Heavy / Weigh container before and after loading or vice versa / $150 plus out of route miles if applicable
Scale Ticket / Single scale charge to weigh container / $75 plus out of route miles if applicable
Stop Off / Additional charge for extra pick up or delivery of freight / $150 (additional mileage may apply for multiple stop offs)
