GALILEO

The Regents Academic Committee on Libraries (The library directors of the University System of Georgia institutions) plan is a bit dated although the more things change the more they stay the same. Our values and basic goals haven’t really changed much – we are preparing for a presentation to the Board of Regents on the occasion of our 20th birthday next month. But some objectives change - We have just acquired next gen system and are planning for implementation during the FY17 year.

We have a GALILEO Steering Committee but RACL provides the major direction so the GALILEO plan is very similar.

The WRLC does not have a strategic plan per se, rather, we have focused on four broad strategic priorities to fulfill our vision and mission. Each year we identify initiatives that we plan to undertake under the four priorities, a number of which are typically longer term initiatives that cannot be accomplished in just one year. If you are interested in our current iteration, you can find it at: http://www.wrlc.org/mission
