Course Title: Tours of Excellence: Technical Colleges
Credits: 3 graduate credits

I. Course Description:
Students will participate in hands on learning experiences in a variety of technical college programs and services. Travel is required to different Wisconsin Technical Colleges to tour and participate in an interactive educational program.
II. Course Objectives:
1. Acquaint participants with programs and services of the technical college system and career opportunities for students in the 21st century.
2. Develop a “plan of action” to implement in classroom(s) or districts disseminating information and services of technical colleges and career opportunities. Each individual or team will write a plan of action consisting of learning outcomes; activities and resources; and a time frame for implementation of the plan. Details will be explained the first day at orientation.
III. Course Requirements:
Active participation is required for all scheduled lectures, presentations and activities associated with the course. A plan of action must be completed by June 26th.
NOTE: Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided on each campus. Students choose one section to attend per year and can do each section once over three different years. Students may retake a section after a 5 year interval.
