Meeting Minutes / April 11, 2016

1.  Call To Order

A.  DEMA Director A.J. Schall convened the Delaware Homeland Security Terrorism Preparedness Working Group (DHSTPWG) meeting at 13:30 p.m., in the Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) Training Room. The following documents were provided to all meeting participants:

B.  Minutes from the, meeting were reviewed and approved. (Motion Approved: Robert Newnam; Second: Lt. Col Wiley Blevins – Passed Unanimously)

2.  Old Business

A.  Report from Subcommittees

Funding Subcommittee – (Allen Metheny, Chairman)

The Funding Subcommittee met at 09:00, in order to review the FY14/15 HSGP status, review and approve three reallocations and finalize the FY2016 HSGP Project and Funding Solution. Further details are available for review in the April 11, 2016 DHSTPWG Funding Subcommittee Meeting Minutes.

Training and Exercise Subcommittee – (Robert Newnam, Chairman)

Mr. Newnam briefed copies of the minutes were provided to the Working Group. The minutes contained the business of the subcommittee completed during those meetings. The minutes contained information regarding exercise, training, financial updates and other requests for training.

B.  FY2014/2015 Homeland Security Grant Status

Mr. Maas briefed the DHSTPWG Funding Subcommittee on the status of the FY14/FY15 HSGP budgets. Further details are available for review in the April 11, 2016 DHSTPWG Funding Subcommittee Meeting Minutes.

3)  New Business

A.  Acceptance of the FY2016 HSGP Funding Solution

Director Schall was presented with the final FY2016 HSGP Funding Solution. A motion was presented to accept the solution by Mr. Allen Metheny and Seconded Mr. Jamie Bethard, the motion was approved unanimously.

B.  Director Comments

DEMA Director Schall thanked everyone for their hard work and diligence for coming together to finalize the FY2016 HSGP Funding Solution.

4)  Open to Floor

A motion to adjourn was introduced (Motion Approved: Robert Newnam; Second: Jamie Bethard – Passed Unanimously)

5)  Next Meeting – The meeting adjourned at 2:15 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for May 9, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at DEMA.
