Terms and Conditions for the Educational Achiever Award Scheme (CPE- PSAC) of the Small Farmers Welfare Fund (SFWF)

Planters

1.  The Examination Reward Scheme 2017 is reserved solely for children of farmers registered with the Fund and holding a valid SFWF Farmer’s Identity Card.

2.  24 children (20 for Mauritius & 4 for Rodrigues) in total having performed best at the CPE-PSAC examinations 2016 shall be provided a grant to the tune of Rs 2,000 to meet with the costs of school books/stationery for the ensuing school year.

3.  The Examination Reward Scheme will be allocated irrespective of boys or girls on a national basis.

4.  To be eligible, applicants should:

(i)  Have obtained an aggregate of minimum 20 points at the C.P.E examinations 2016. Priority of consideration will be given to children having obtained the best results in any 5 subjects.

5.  Additional criterias to be considered in cases of ex-aequos:

(i)  Type of planting activity undertaken by the applicant’s responsible party, whether full time or part time planter, whereby full time planters will be given priority of consideration.

(ii)  Number of children attending primary or secondary or tertiary institutions in the applicant’s family. Family with the highest number will be given priority of consideration

6.  The following financial assistance would be provided under the Scheme:

(i)  A grant of Rs 2,000 to meet with the costs of school books/stationery and a trophy per student.

7.  Application should be made on prescribed form only and returned to the Fund with a copy of relevant certificates and copy of responsible party’s SFWF Farmer’s Identity Card.

8.  Incomplete applications or applications not submitted on the prescribed forms shall not be entertained.

9.  The applications forms should be properly bound to avoid the loss of any loose paper. The Fund shall not be responsible for any loss of document.

10.  Any persons who, because of the non-disclosure or misinterpretation of a material fact (whether such non-disclosure or misinterpretation is fraudulent or not), has received any allowance to which he/she was not entitled, shall be liable to refund to the Fund the sums so received unless it is proved to the satisfaction of the Fund that he/she received the sums in good faith and without knowledge that he/she was not entitled to them.

11.  The Fund reserves the right to alter the conditions of award of these Reward Scheme.

The decision of the Fund shall be final in all cases regarding award and payment.
