Reviewed last week Leadership Meeting Minutes:

Motion – Ms. Marcus, 2nd Motion – Mr. Crossman

Staff reviewed several emails from Ms. Nichols.

Leadership Agenda was reviewed

Weekly Updates from Ms. Nichols was unanimous, very one liked it.

Mission/Vision Development Questions - Opened for discussion

Who is our customer?

1.  Customers are teen-parents, credit recovery and students who fall in both categories.

2.  What services do we provide? Family Counseling and all academics

What is unique about our service?

Social Services and schedules

What makes Seagull unique?

Transportation, additional assistance in the classroom, full-time nurse, two full-time Social Services personnel, day care services (but that falls under Social Service), special accommodations.

Work at student’s own pace, must be careful with this statement because they have credit obligations to earn to graduate.

Mr. Jones states that credit recovery has been a success and is being logged into Tier I, and trying to mitigate certain students for APEX classes, if not, they need to be in his class. For students to receive credits or ½ credits in 9 weeks is a gift.

Ms. Matus – We have a variety of teaching and credit recovery. When students come here, we offer assistance for the students to help themselves.

How are we going to move students, what is our goal?

Attendance is an issue

Methods modified and adapted

Issue: Students do not take advantage

Ms. Christie: The expectation should not be how students are going to perform on the FSA. The focus should not be the FSA for data. Should credit recovery be our mission? It is difficult to provide this date.

As a school we have to decide what our focus is going to be. If we focus on graduation and scored, then we can’t focus on credit recovery. These goals require different paths that are not in harmony with each other. I believe we should focus on credit recovery because it is a manageable goal and is not dependent upon standardized testing.

We cannot provide data based on traditional data, but on what we do here at Seagull. Attendance is

a major impact here. We can barely collect the data because the students are not sitting the exams.

Mr. Crossman suggests as meeting with Mr. Clemon, in a smaller group, to discuss this mission.

Ms. Justice said the script is all detailed and detail is with our evaluation.

Reviewed Dave Thomas School’s syllabus.

Below are the comments from Staff.

Christie: Understandings mean more one and one where teacher is to stand up and help.

Justice: Digging our own grave with submitting data and IObservation and trying to make it nice.

Round Table was throughout the meeting.

Tracy Matus is the new Cheerleading Coach.

Consensus: Centers need to get together. Why are people above our Principal not on the same page?

Meeting Adjourned: 9:00am
