BARB WIRE DOLLS

~ BIO 2017 ~

Barb Wire Dolls were never here to fuckaround, engage in pleasantries or shy away from a challenge. Thisloud female-fronted five-piece rock and roll band that started in an artist commune in Crete, Greece have gained a solid global reputation, building their loyal following (the Street Generation) by playing over eight hundred shows in twenty five countries over just a few years since relocating to Los Angeles. In 2015 after seeing the band live, the incomparable, irreplaceable and forever-missedLemmyKilmister‬‬ofMotörhead‬‬had them signed to theMotörhead‬‬Music record label and last years'Desperatewas released to critical acclaim.

"Lemmy‬‬told me to never compromise, give 100% at every show, and to never change for anyone or anything. I'll remember his advice forever. It's the highest honor to have him believe in you.‬" - Isis Queen‬‬

Barb Wire Dolls absorbed many elements of love, hate, war, peace and humanity during the past year, giving fans some truly inspired live performances along the way. To satisfy their need to write a realsoundtrack for today's issues, the band ventured into the desert to capture the sonic emotions of life's journey fortheir third studio album,Rub My Mind, which is dedicated toLemmyKilmister‬‬. This collection of thirteen eclectic tracks is a refreshinglyraw, potent musical rocket that reflects the state of our world, how to deal with it - and how to escape it!

Produced and mixed byJay Baumgardner‬‬(Evanescence‬‬,John Fogerty‬‬, Bush) Barb Wire Dolls spent just two days to recordRub My Mind in theJoshua Tree desert at legendary studio Rancho De Luna in California – whereIggy Pop‬‬andQueens of The Stone Age‬‬have‬made seminal albums. Rub My Mindbuilds on the energetic platform of their last two releases, theSteve Albini‬‬-mastermindedSlit(2013) andDesperate(2016),by delivering an album that confidentlygrabs your immediate attention. It takes only two spins before the hooks are under your skin. Led by Isis Queen’s dynamic vocals and flamboyant presence, the lyrics and songs suddenly become part of who you are and who you wish to be.Rub My Mindis full of the melodic rage of lead guitarist and former pro surfer and skateboarder Pyn Doll, the crunchy rhythm guitar of Remmington, the pulsating bass of IrielBlaque‬‬, and the Bonham-esque power of Krash Doll on drums. Rub My Mindis an exciting retro cocktail of late ‘70s influenced punk and '90s grunge refracted through the prism of 2017. It sounds like "then and now" all at once.‬‬

Take “Call Me”, a catchy Pop song about date rape, with it’s sweet innocent intro that soon gets shoved aside by solid walls of dissonant angry riffs and vocals, or the fiery social statement of lead track/single and new video “Back In The U.S.S.A”, which is two minutes and twenty seven seconds of satirical heaven that will light up your hot summer nights. Add those to the soaring, epic "Desert Song", the dreamy “Fade Away", the insane punk pogo of “Contract", or the infectiously addictive buzz of "We Are Champions” and you’ll quickly understand that Barb Wire Dolls are about to stake an unshakable place in the depths of your heart and soul.

"We believe in our music, message, and the people out there that need something new, fresh and dangerous."- Isis Queen

Poised to break out in a big way, and to bring rock and roll to new heights, Barb Wire Dolls are releasingRub My Mindin conjunction with being invited to perform on all forty-one summer dates across America on the 2017 Vans Warped Tour.
