Vicmap Planning Upgrade

What is happening

As part of Smart Planning, a significant Victorian Government initiative, Vicmap Planning is being significantly upgraded. Along with significant spatial improvements, the following structural changes are intended to made to the following datasets:

PLAN_ZONE, PLAN_OVERLAY, PLAN_UGA and PLAN_UGB

  • SUPPLY_VERSIONDeleted
  • ZONE_NUM NUMBER(6) Changed from NUMBER(11)
  • ZONE_CODE VARCHAR2(12)Changed from VARCHAR2(7)
  • ZONE_DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(100)Changed from VARCHAR2(83)
  • LGA_CODE VARCHAR2(3)Changed from NUMBER(3) – adopted Vicmap standard
  • GAZ_BEGIN_DATE DATEAdded
  • PFI NUMBER(11)Added

PLAN_CODELIST has been substantially modified with the new structure being as follows:

Two additional spatial tables (PLAN_ZONE_HISTORY and PLAN_OVERLAY_HISTORY) are now available in a separate product; VICMAP_PLANNING_HISTORY. These two tables enable users to view point in time, historic versions of zones and overlays within Vicmap Planning from an implementation date. They contain the same attributes as their respective parent dataset with the additional inclusion of GAZ_END_DATE.

It is proposed the change will be implemented after 01/07/2017.
