Wellness ROI through Prevention
The presentation will feature the journey that an employer (Energy Future Holdings, Dallas, TX) embarked upon with its supplier partners (Compass, Dr. Scott Conard) after a decade of less than ideal wellness initiative results. A big problem had been obtaining high risk population participation and engagement which continued to drive health care cost upwards. EFH implemented an aggressive activation approach consisting of the 4 C’s (culture, consumerism, convenience and cash). Impactful results have been achieved and sustained by use of a model that incorporates employer and employee tools that promote transparency, individualized support and accountability and elite physician steerage. The major point that will be made is that an ounce of prevention truly is worth a pound of cure.
HBCH 2015 Paragon Awards
In the past few years, HBCH has awarded its Paragon Awards at the Houston Business Journal’s Healthiest Employer Awards luncheon. This year these awards will be presented at the May 20 program. Two awards based on company size will be presented and the winners will be given an opportunity to discuss the strategy and tactics for improving the health and wellness of its workforce. Winners will be selected from the 30 finalists for HBJ’s Healthiest Employer Awards and determined by an essay and one-on-one follow-up by HBCH judges.
