We are four students from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Helsinki, Finland). Within the course Application Development Project we choose to enhance Pakistan's education in cooperation with NOKIA.
Pakistani's education situation is alarming. According to UNESCO, 1 out of 3 Pakistani children of school age can access to education, and among those who can, a third drops out at 5th degree. However, the government spends less than 3% of its budget to education. Then we think that today, living standards can't improve for those people without education and especially without English skills.
So we decided to develop an application to provide basic English vocabulary for Pakistanis teenagers. We had the idea for one of our 3 features to program a task improving the pronunciation. So we did some research about it, and finally we found Babbel. I quickly loaded your app on my Iphone to test it. And it is exactly what we expected. Your speech recognition is really impressive. It seems to be a complex technology.
Here we just have one programmer, maybe we will get some help from Indian programmers who are in contact with Nokia. The problem for us is we don't have enough time, we need to present our application in 4 weeks. We are surprised that Babbel application can be downloaded for free, maybe that means you don't want to make profit on it.
That is why we wanted to know if it could be possible to send us an extract of your coding.
