FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Dear Parents/ Caregivers
The end of the term is nearly here and there are only 25 days left until Christmas.
We had our Jumble Sale this week and it was the most successful ever. Thank you to all and everyone who helped with their generous contributions, played the activities, ate the Sausage Sizzle, bought raffle tickets, cakes, and pre-loved bargains.
We needed $4000 for the buses to go to the swimming pool next year and learn to swim. The Jumble Sale made $2478. We raised enough money this year for the buses and a little extra for our Year 6, library and sport.
Thank you Yennora Lawn Mower Centre for donating a Vac/ Blow, Fairfield Woolworth - $50, Fruitmania – onions, Ivan’s Butcher and Ms Mohamed – sausages.
Thank you for your BIG EFFORT making this fundraiser 2012 a BIG SUCCESS!
Reports will be coming home on Friday 7th December 2012. Please check your child’s bag.
As our school grows in enrolments, the Department of Education and Communities has given Yennora Public School another Assistant Principal position. The position was advertised and Miss April Rose was successful. Miss Rose will be another Assistant Principal together with Mrs Calderan. Congratulations, Miss Rose. There will be lots of work waiting for you in 2013.
Ms A Schuette
Principal

ENGLISH CLASSES FOR PARENTS
The English class parents are going on an excursion to Katoomba on Thursday 6th December 2012. It should be fun!
SCHOOL BANKING
St George Bank has left some new account applications with us. If you are interested in opening an account, please see the office staff.
HOT DAYS OF SUMMER
Please ensure that your child has cold water to drink. A good idea is to freeze a bottle of water overnight, wrap it in a small towel and put it in a plastic bag. It will give your child cold water all day.
YEAR 6 FAREWELL
Our Year 6 has chosen to go to the IMAX cinema in the city and have some lunch there as well. The farewell will be on Thursday 13th December 2012.
