Rimini Fiera, 18th April 2012 – The third edition of the TECHNODOMUS International Expo of Wood Technology for the Furnishing and Construction industries will be held at Rimini expo centre from Friday 20th to Tuesday 24th April 2012. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday 20th, at 11.00 am in the south foyer of Rimini Fiera, with the participation of Rimini’s mayor Andrea Gnassi.

Rimini Fiera thus proposes the latest step in the project begun in 2009 (18,156 trade visitors, 28% of whom were from abroad) and strengthened in 2010 (30,865 trade visitors, 31% of whom were foreign), confirming the announced biennial staging of the expo.

At the first two editions, the rise in visitors coincided with that of the expo space, which grew from 25,000 m2 (140 exhibitors) in 2009 to 42,000 m2 (300 exhibitors). TECHNODOMUS has now set itself the goal of becoming the leading expo in Italy and increasing the profile of foreign participation, as far as both exhibitors and trade members visiting the exhibition are concerned. The 2012 expo area will occupy 45,000 m2. Among the new features, the debut of the TECHNOFRAME section, an entire hall that will host the best key players in the market of technology for aluminium and PVC window frames.

Business unit manager Simone Castelli explains, “In spite of the difficulties that the market is fighting to overcome, we are continuing resolutely. TECHNODOMUS confirms the solidity of an extremely business-oriented expo project, a real international marketplace in favour of a manufacturing sector that puts the accent on export.”

The Rimini Fiera team, which has been at work for months the implementing of sales and advertising strategies, has attended all the world’s most important manufacturing areas to offer companies a competitive proposal. Over two thousand foreign buyers are expected at TECHNODOMUS.

The market’s three leading companies (Biesse, Cefla Finishing Group and SCM Group), which together represent the majority of Italy’s national production, have once more shown their confidence in TECHNODOMUS, identifying it as a national expo event worthy of attention. In the TECHNOFRAME area, the participation of leading company Fom Industrie is worthy of note.

After the convincing experience of 2010, the closeness on the expo calendar to Milan’s Salone del Mobile furniture expo (17-22 April 2012) has been confirmed, ensuring trade members an excellent opportunity to visit trade fairs of related interest. On the logistic front, shuttle bus connections will be confirmed and implemented to favour Italian and foreign buyers travel from Milan to Rimini.

As well as its organization ability, backed up by its acknowledged attention for exhibiting firms, Rimini Fiera also has a winning card in the ease with which it can be reached. Thanks to an airport that is now connected with the main European capitals and an on-site railway station on the main Milan-Bari line, at which sixteen trains stop every day just fifty metres from the entrance to TECHNODOMUS.
