INCLEMENT WEATHER/NO BUS DAYS Busing families, please review the rural busing guidelines you received from your bus driver at the beginning of the school year. If you need a copy from the school, just give us a call and we’ll send one home. Bus drivers make the decision whether to run or not and will contact families if there is a cancellation. Basically, if the combined temperature/wind chill factors are at a reading of -40 C or colder at 6:00 a.m. buses will cancel. Stormy conditions are other factors bus drivers in the surrounding area may need to decide upon. There is to be no early dismissal due to deteriorating weather conditions. If it is determined that the buses will not run at the regular dismissal time, previously arranged in-town billeting is to be used for bus students and families are to be notified of those arrangements. Please update your families billeting information with the school. You may also check the website: (scroll down to bus cancellations) or call the bus hotline to check to see which buses are not running. It is continually updated as information changes.
Bus hotline: 306-683-2805
Bus Students: If your child(ren)’s bus is not running the students on that bus are excused from attending school (no phone call to school necessary). Parents may choose to drive the children to and from school. That will be the parents’ decision. Missed assignments can be caught up at school.
Town Students: Town students are expected to attend school. Should the parents decide not to send their children that day, the school must be notified. Their absences are not valid excuses without parent permission. Missed assignments will be sent home as homework. /
