Dear Colleague,

Elmhurst School for Dance will be holding an open day for dance teachers on Thursday 12th May 2016. This is an excellent opportunity to:

-  See Elmhurst School for Dance in action and get to know about the school

-  See high quality ballet and other dance teaching in action in order to continue your own professional development and contribute to your CPD requirements

-  See any of your former students in class

-  Develop a better understanding of vocational ballet school training and whether it might be appropriate for any of your students

The order of the day is as follows:

9.15 Registration and coffee

9.45 Introduction from Jessica Wheeler (Principal) and Robert Parker (Artistic Director)

10.00 Tour of the school

10.40 Comfort Break

10.50 Observe lesson: Year 8 Girls Ballet (Teacher – Denise Lewin) Year 8 Boys (Teacher – Michael Ho) Year 12 Girls Ballet (Teacher – Gloria Grigolato) Year 12 Boys Ballet (Teacher – Lee Robinson) including question and answer session with tutors at end

12.50 Buffet lunch with opportunity to meet with ballet teachers and senior students

1.40 Observe lesson: Year 9 Boys (Teacher – Lee Robinson) Year 9 Girls (Teacher – Sue Lucas)

Year 13 Men (Teacher – David Yow)

3.40 Final reflections with Robert Parker
