The closing date for media accreditation is 5.00pm on Monday, 16 January 2016. Late requests will not be accepted and there will be no exceptions.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION PROTOCOLS

Terms and conditions of accreditation to attend Te Matatini 2017

Event access

1.  Only accredited media will be given access to the Event and media passes will be assigned to listed media by gate security.

2.  Assigned media passes must be returned at the end of each day when you leave the site. This is for security purposes and you will not gain access the next day if your pass hasn’t been checked in.

3.  Lost passes will be checked against listed media and reassigned but this may take some time, so please take care with your pass.

4.  Accredited media agree to attend daily media briefings as a condition of accreditation. Briefings will be held at 8.00am each day of the competition in the designated media compound. This is a chance to hear of any changes and for queries to be answered.

5.  There are two categories for media accreditation:

(a)  ALL ACCESS: Event access including the performance (stage) area for official Te Matatini production crews

(b)  GENERAL ACCESS: Event access or designated media compounds only; no access to the performance (stage) area

6.  Stage access is restricted to authorised media only. Those without appropriate media accreditation will be removed from the site by security.

7.  Any media personnel found in breach of these terms and conditions will be removed from the site immediately and may face a formal ban at future events.

Performance footage and photographs

8.  Access to and broadcast of TV footage of performers will only be granted for genuine news purposes and is restricted to a maximum of 2 minutes.

9.  No media photographers are permitted. All images of performances will be supplied and an access fee for footage and photographs may be charged.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

10.  Subject to the licenses and copyright ownership of the participating teams, all intellectual property rights of all performances remain with Aotearoa Kapa Haka Ltd.

11.  A copy of all images, film and sound recordings of the event must be delivered to Aotearoa Kapa Haka Ltd for the retention of all intellectual property rights in such recordings.

12.  Aotearoa Kapa Haka Ltd will have an unrestricted and perpetual right to use such content to promote the event in future, subject to agreements and/or licenses with the participating teams.

Health and Safety

13.  If you are under 18, you must have consent from your parent/s or guardian/s to attend the Event.

14.  All participants enter the event agreeing to Te Matatini standard health & safety protocols.

Media Parking

15.  Public car parking will be available for media use. Designated media parking is only available for official Te Matatini production crews.

Variation of terms and conditions

16.  The organisers reserve the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time without notice. All reasonable steps will be taken to advise accredited media of any changes.
